"Ow, my bum!"
Oct. 14th, 2008 02:38 am...to quote Jensen in the S2 Dark Angel Blooper Reel. Heh. ;)
I know how he feels. I've only been home for a little over an hour. We wrapped at midnight. Anyway, Monday was spent filming inside (thank goodness, 'cause it was raining outside) and a good portion of that time I spent sitting on a hard wood floor. Ouch! My butt and my hips are killing me. I'm not old, but I ain't no spring chicken anymore either. Can't sit on the floor for hours like I used to when I was a kid. *iz sore*
We had a very small crew on hand, which was nice, along with only the one actor. He had some pretty intense, emotional & physical scenes. He really did an awesome job. Take after take though, I was right there, following along with his long stretch of dialog, ready to give him a line when he needed it. He really gave his all to the performance and it was amazing what he was able to do. Since I was busy reading along in the script I really didn't get a chance to look up and watch him, but I could tell from his voice how much he was putting into the scene. The final take of the night, the director just kept guiding him through different things to say and do (say this, do this with the prop...). It stretched out into an almost 13 minute take! Exhausting for everyone else (because we had to stay so still and quiet) and equally exhausting for the poor actor as he just kept going and going. Amazing.
Tomorrow....err...later today, we'll be back at the same location, actor, and crew to finish up there. Then...2 days off! Yay!!!!!! I'm gonna need those days to recover.
I want to thank you all for the great comments that greeted me in my inbox when I signed on tonight/this morning. I sometimes wonder if these little filming reports are of any interest, yet I want to let you know what I'm up to and sort of document for myself what I've been doing. I enjoyed reading them and hope to respond back to each of you come Wednesday when I'll be able to stay at home at last. Gotta print out my on-the-set photos & get ready for another day before I can get a few hours of sleep. *hugs all around* :)
