In Part 4, Max and Alec return with the rescued S1-W and find out Brain is an X5. Then Alec annoys Logan as he says his goodbyes to Asha over the phone and Alec moves into Brain's place as Max mourns the loss.

Part 4 -

Max and Alec find out Brain is an X5 series from Manticore.
Brain: "...all tied up in one stealth package." Alec: "Stealth! Yeah...right!" (again, I'm going from memory here on the lines)
Don'tcha love all the nice closeups we're getting in this episode!
Another almost profile shot and then the 3rd cap almost looks like a wallpaper already with nothing but black behind him.
What's he doing? Looking through Logan's mail? Asha: "I'm off to the frozen north. I don't know who to trust. I'm not happy about this, Logan." Logan: "Well, I'm not happy about it, either." Alec: "Well, if she's not happy, and you're not happy, then I'm not happy. Max, are you happy?" Logan: "Shut up!"
Heh. Alec waiting for Logan to tell Asha to "be careful". Too cute! And then Alec's final line to Logan... Alec: "What in the world do they see in you?"
Alec comes by Brain's apartment to pick up some of his TVs.

In the end, even Alec acknowledges that Brain was "magnificent". Love the way his head is tilted in that last cap.
