I'm super sleepy, but I'm going to try to account the last two days of filming anyway.

Saturday was fairly simple - the re-shooting of one scene involving the killing of a character. There was some dialog and then the rigging of the blood pack for her "death". The special fx worked great and our only small setback was waiting for a nearby neighbor to stop using their leaf blower.

Today (Sunday), was a little more complicated. More scenes, including a bunch of insert-type shots of our lead actor driving in a car past the camera several times. A few more scenes were re-shot and more fake blood makeup was applied (some of it by me at the end of the day :)). Continuity is going to be a nightmare for these scenes. We've re-shot some of them 3 times now, changing things, and of course the blood makeup ends up looking a little different every time you do it. I can only hope some clever editing will save it.

Anyhoo, there's going to be some more filming this week, but I don't know when yet. It looks like I will have tomorrow (Monday) off though, so hooray for that. I can catch up on my sleep a little along with LJ. I see there's a lot of Chicago Con goodies to check out. :)

I'm sure I had more to say about the filming, but I'm so sleepy that it's not coming to my fuzzy brain. Maybe I'll actually go to bed earlier tonight. Ha! Yeah, I wouldn't count on it. *iz a hopeless night owl* My feet ache (too much standing) and I've got even more spots of fake blood on my jeans (it washes out, not to worry). Coming home with my hands stained with the remnants of the fake blood has become a bizarre, yet cool aspect of this project. I feel like the kid on the baseball team who finally gets to come home with his uniform dirty after sitting on the bench game after game. It's kinda cool. Like I'm a full-blooded member of the team because I've been tainted by the blood. :P

* Funyuns actually came up in conversation today. Our Camera Op said something like, "That stuff is gross. It's not even food." LOL 'Course you can bet I was thinking of that scene in the Xmas eppy. ;) Oh, and we had pizza for our late lunch. Ah, pizza....the staple food of moviemaking!
