In Part 3: Alec's flashback continues as we see him meet his target, Robert Berrisford, and his daughter, Rachel. Max, Joshua, Logan, and OC then startle Alec out of his memories and he returns to his apartment to drink.

This will be in 5 parts, with 55 caps per part. And I'll be adding my usual comments and various quotes from the ep as well.

All caps were made by me from the S2 DVD set and adjusted for size, color, contrast, and sharpness.

Part 3 -

I used to think a guy in a suit and tie was just too stuffy for me, but seeing Jensen over the years all decked out so nicely, I'm really starting to change my mind. :)

That 3rd cap just kills me! It's probably the reason I provided it as little sneak peak in my earlier status report post.

Ooooh! More handPorn! One question...why would Alec carry that necklace around in a jacket pocket all this time? As much as he cared about Rachel, I don't think he's been thinking about her over the years. It's only been since encountering the house again that his memories of that time have been re-awakened.

I am so thankful for these lovely closeups! *Sigh*

The lighting of this scene is very well done. Notice how it's all "natural"? I'm putting it in quotation marks, because of course, no film lighting is ever really natural. But they did an excellent job of making it look that way.

I'm not a huge fan of the whole "Jensen in glasses" look, but I can understand those who are. He doesn't look bad in glasses. 'Course, Jensen never looks bad. :P

A nice variety of caps in this row: The Lehane look, Alec clutching the necklace as he remembers, *pardon me while I drool* awesome closeup of that amazing face, and then poor Alec as he's submitted to a Manticore interrogation.

Poor Alec! He's such a tortured character. Very much like Dean.

Alec gets startled by Joshua and instantly goes for the attack. Max gets all hostile again, protecting the wrong guy (Joshua). Max: "What the hell was that?" Alec: "Nothing." Can I just say I really don't like Max at this point? Her attitude towards Alec hits an all time low right here. I know she's never really liked the guy, but sheesh, show a little compassion!

Here we get the classic head scratch and then a lip bite!

I like how Joshua's the one to pick up the necklace and ask Alec if he's alright. At least he cares!

Alec: "Yeah. Yeah. I'm always all right." Sound familiar, anyone? Much like Dean's standard answer of "I'm fine", Alec also hides his emotional burdens from others.

Love the green lighting in Alec's apartment! (Can you tell I'm a filmmaking student?) And look at how the camera stays back as Alec gets a drink. Perhaps this helps to show how Alec is retreating into the past.
