In Part 8: Alec's flashbacks continue to show him preparing to kill Berrisford and his daughter and then his sudden turn as he tries to save Rachel's life. The car still explodes before he can stop her. Alec enters the house and is captured by Berrisford.

All caps were made by me from the S2 DVD set and adjusted for size, color, contrast, and sharpness.

Part 8 -

Alec: "Sir, I can eliminate Berrisford without involving the daughter. It just seems to me the collateral damage is an unnecessary--" Manticore Guy: "You're not in charge of this mission 494. Your job, and your only thought, is to follow our orders." Alec: "Yes, sir." Oh, my, but that closeup is gorgeous!

I like the sweater, except that it hides his neck.

Oooooo! SneakyAlec! The last cap in this row is a favorite of mine.

The conflict within Alec is building. All he knows is following orders, yet he doesn't want to hurt Rachel.

Btw, for those of you who may not know it, that's a Rhododendron right next to him. The Coast Rhododendron is Washington State's official flower and there's all kinds of Rhodies all along the west coast of the U.S. and Canada. OK, back to the caps...we also get one last look at the pool scene and then the last cap just kills me with his expression. He's so torn.

The arched eyebrow again! He then decides to try and save Rachel before it's too late, telling her they need to leave town.

Great work here by Jensen! He chuckles a little and then tries to decide how to deal with this. Can he tell her the truth? He does. "I was sent here to kill your father. It was my job. You were my job."

She slaps him and then runs in a panic to the car where her father is and Alec catches the necklace as she breaks past him. He chases her...only to find he's too late.

"Rachel!" Alec can only stare in horror as the car explodes. Great closeups, though.

Dragged away from the scene by the men from Manticore who detonated the bomb, Alec was then placed down in the basement with the Nomlies. Poor Alec! Those lifeless, dead eyes are so haunting. It brings back his line about Manticore having "ways of making you not care".

Love him breaking down the door to get in. Too bad he didn't kick it in. Heehee!

He swiftly takes out 2 guards inside and climbs the stairs, seeing the back of a woman he thinks is Rachel, but she isn't. Ooooo! I love all these caps in this row! Berrisford: "You came into my house. You pretended to care for my child." Alec: "I did care." Berrisford: "Shut up! Don't lie to me!"
