Walking: Persistance
Apr. 16th, 2009 07:55 pmI really didn't want to go walk today. I had all the excuses: it was too late, I was getting a headache, I didn't eat much for lunch, blah, blah, blah. But I went anyway, knowing I'd feel worse if I didn't go. At least my legs didn't hurt as much this time...well, except for past the half way mark. Thinking about my goal helped along with just putting one foot in front of the other. My natural inclination is to keep moving once I start, so I simply went with it - aching calves be damned.
The weather was calm, overcast, but not too cool. I took the big loop (no hill) and the medium one. I would've walked longer but it was late and daylight was fading.
Stats from MapMyWalk.com:
Miles: 1.39
Time: 26 minutes
Calories: 115
