Rules about Con Hugging

People are making a big fuss over the latest news from the AHBL Con - that fans are no longer allowed to hug/touch Jensen during the photo-ops because Danneel didn't like it.
Frankly, it doesn't matter if she was the one to instigate the new policy, because it's not new at all. If you go to the Con's website there's a page for Etiquette.
Guess what the first rule is?
1. Do not ask for hugs or kisses.
Not only is this an invasion of their personal space but it's not fair if you get one and everyone else misses out. It is simply too draining for the guests to give them to everyone. Please do not think "Oh it won't hurt if I just ask, its only one person..." There are no exceptions for this rule. People asking for hugs and kisses will be removed from the event, without refund of their tickets. Be considerate!
Edit: There's nothing on the website that states these rules are only for the Q&A. I take that to mean these rules are for all aspects of the con.
They're simply enforcing one of their standing rules, people. I know it's disappointing, even to those of us who aren't there and are looking forward to attending future cons. We can only hope that other cons will continue to be relaxed with their own rules.
Please, don't spread any wank over Danneel here. This is a wank-free journal.
