May Rant/Rave Post

raloriaI just got this little idea about making a Rant/Rave post once a month. Since today is the 15th and usually the 15th is the middle of each month, I figured it was a good day to use.
I'll post my own rant/raves and then all of you are welcome to post your own in your comments. It can be anything and everything. Vent, squee, flail, let our your frustrations, whatever you want to just let everyone know about or get off your chest. You can post as many or as few as you like. My only rule: no hateful or rude comments please. Let's not get too nasty or mean. But I honestly don't think I'll have to worry about that too much, I happen to think I have one of the best and nicest flists ever. :D
* The PapaJohn's Pizza TV Commercial (the one with "That's Amore" playing in the background)
If I see this commercial one more time I just might throw my TV out the window! I swear, some of my local stations play this thing twice every freakin' commercial break!!!! I'm sick of it!
* The crazed fangirl who jumped on Jensen at Asylum Con
This was so uncalled for. I'd like to think we (the fandom in general) has been trying to prove that we're not just a bunch of crazy, hormonal fans who only squee over the handsome stars. This certainly doesn't help. It's great that Jensen could later joke about it and seemed to recover from the incident, but still...to quote Dean that was "so not cool".
* Killing off Ash & Andy in "All Hell Breaks Loose, Part One"
I really liked both these characters and hated to see them die in last week's ep. I knew about Ava getting killed off, but I never saw Andy's death coming. And why did he have to die such a painful, bloody death? The poor guy never really hurt anyone. He was sweet and quirky and funny - just an all around nice guy. I'll miss his humor. And poor Ash. We haven't seen much of him lately and then he's just burned in the Roadhouse fire without us finding out what info. he was going to give Dean. I'll miss his badass ways, his mullet (all business up front, party in the back!), and the fact that he was really a super geek (MIT). Even with his wild and crazy ways he always came through with the info. when it was needed. **Spoilerish - highlight to read** My only hope now is that Ellen will be able to supply Dean with the intel Ash had. Otherwise, what was the point of even showing him in part one? *Sigh*
* It's almost Thursday!
Which is also almost a rant because *pouts* that means the end of the season for SPN. *wimper* But I'm so happy to see this episode at long last that I can almost put the thought of the season ending out of my mind...almost. I just know Jensen is going to completely blow us away with his acting yet again and I look forward to seeing how the season will come to a close. Kripke promised no cliffhanger this time, so I hope we get more questions answered and can start the long break without too much angst.
* Jensen at Asylum Con
Sadly, I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get to meet our favorite actor in the UK, but I've been seeing lots of accounts and photos online. Seems like everything that we suspected is true - Jensen is just as handsome and nice as everyone says. From the accounts I've been reading he seemed happy and comfortable meeting his fans and talked a lot about the show, Jared, the fandom, and more.
* I'm finally seeing the end of my allergy bug!
After weeks of coughing and blowing my nose, it seems I'm finally over the worst of it. I only cough occasionally and finally stopped taking the OTC meds.
* I finished work on the student documentary film I was involved with
After a whole year of being in production, the Rocket Man musical film finally saw completion as did our documentary on the making of it. It was a lot of hard work, crazy hours, and stress to get it all done in time, but the finished product turned out great. While I didn't work at editing the main part of the documentary, I did put together the end credits, blooper reel, and a special little bit about the dream that inspired the movie. I'm especially proud of my blooper reel. :D
So post your rants and raves in your comments. I'd also appreciate feeback on this idea. Is this the craziest idea I've ever had? Is it brilliant? Am I asking for trouble? Let me know what you think and if I should keep this up each month. :)
