Harper's Island: "Thwack"

Finally! The show begins to have some real life to it with this eppy. It was great to see Jim Beaver so much and smiling even! Lots of bonding in this episode....between Sheriff Mills, Abby and Jimmy, and Trish and her dad. Even JD and Madison pull some little pranks on Henry as he takes over wedding prep duties for Trish for the day. Malcom's still dealing with Booth's death and even goes out in the woods to talk to his grave.

Observations....

- Trish thinks Lucy left and has no idea she's dead even though her little dog is still roaming around in the woods.
- Henry is basically done with JD. *sigh* Two more brothers at odds. Can't we all just get along?
- Madison seemed halfway normal this time....except when she outright lied to Henry over having been with JD.
- They finally found the poor reverend's body...or at least parts of it. Ewwww....
- Was that dude in the woods who set the dog on Trish & her dad John Wakefield???? Kinda looked like him.
- I really don't get why Abby was so spooked over finding her dad's walls with info. about Wakefield & the killings. Makes sense that he would still have all of that and if similar killings continued to happen why wouldn't he be looking into them?
- Love how even though Trish & her dad were nearly taken out by a booby trap out in the woods there's no urgency in calling the sheriff out to investigate. No, we need to have the wedding rehearsal. *sigh*
- The ending was quite awesome. We have no idea who got carved by that falling light with the blade. My guess? Trish's dad got it.

Okay....still thinking some of the characters are quite clueless, but the show is picking up, so I'm in it until the end, I guess.
