Trying to come out of my shell

Because of recent RL events I find myself reaching out to people a lot more, hence the Friending Meme and possibly joining Twitter. Life's too short to remain shy & quiet, even online. I even searched for people to add on my Facebook. I guess my fear is that when my time comes and I die that people won't even remember me. I know I'm easily overlooked and forgotten by people. It's happened all my life. So I'm trying to put myself out there more, connect with people more than I used to....online & in real life.
