Harper's Island: "Sploosh"

We start off literally where things left off last time, with that blade coming out of the chandelier and heading right down on top of Papa Wellington's head. Ouch! Nice use of slo-mo to show the terror and anguish of the other characters. Kudos to the show for keeping up the grisly content. Not exactly the type of stuff you normally see on CBS.
We see a lot of Jim Beaver's sheriff in this eppy, which is always a treat. He quickly gets everyone out of the church and back to the hotel for questioning. So at last everyone suspects there's something up on the island. This is backed up when J.D. takes Abby out to the woods to prove that he didn't kill Wellington. He instead shows her there's a body strung up in the trees, which proves, in his opinion, that Wakefield is back. Turns out it's the halved body of Uncle Marty ('bout damn time they found him). Abby then tells Henry about it (like he wasn't having a sucky day already) and even though he initially blames J.D., the 3 of them then confront the sheriff about his little research collection at home. Ultimately, Abby & Henry go off to dig up Wakefield. There is indeed a skeleton in the coffin (not that that proves a darned thing) because by the end of the eppy, J.D. appears to go off to a cabin where a guy looking like a scarred Wakefield lets him in! WTH????
Anyway, there's other stuff going on...like Trish spilling the beans about the affairs going on in the family, which hits everyone hard. Lies are told...by little Madison to the Sheriff because her dad told her to. And meanwhile, Chloe & Cal have a fun little escapade where they retrieve his missing ring from a recently engaged couple. Suspicion for the killer turns to Richard when Katherine gives some Wakefield news articles to the Sheriff that she found in his briefcase. But that all proves moot when Richard is then speared in the back in the final moments of the episode.
Best line of the night goes to the Sheriff...
Sheriff Mills: "How long have you been involved with Katherine Wellington?"
Richard: "Six weeks. It just kind of happened."
Sheriff Mills: "Fell on her, did ya?"
LMAO! It's such a Bobby line! Hilarious. XD
