raloriaFound out today is the 30th birthday of the Sony Walkman. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but to many of us, this little gadget was our first audio oasis on long car trips as kids. It was the perfect companion on family vacations. The Walkman, some comfy headphones, a large catalog of audio tapes, and you were set! :)
Just for nostalgia sake, here's a pic of my old Sony Walkman. It's from 1986! Yes, I still have it, complete with original instruction manual. Plus....it still works!!!!! Even after I dropped it some 10 years ago on our hard kitchen floor! This sucker is built! :)
