Okay...stop drooling at Dean and click on the link already. This is just a teaser. :D
Went out shopping and running errands yesterday afternoon and just thought I'd pass along some random bits of useless info.
* It poured down rain in buckets at times. At one point I could barely see the lane markings on the road, had the wipers on as fast as they could go, and slowed way down below the speed limit.
* After the rain passed, there was a gorgeous double rainbow. The main one was a whole rainbow, too, with the complete spectrum of colors (red thru violet)! It was beautiful! Saw several people taking pictures with their camera phones.
* Best bumpersticker seen: "I'm not driving slow...it's the clown in front of me!"
It's too true, isn't it? Everyone always thinks you're the one driving too slow, when you're being held up in traffic just as they are by the idiot in front of you who doesn't seem to know the speed limit.
* One of the most annoying sounds ever? A woman standing behind behind be in line at the post office, smacking her gum as she chewed it. Grrrrr!
* Impala sightings: sadly none. Not even an "almost looks like...". :(
* Price of gas: $2.99 a gallon. It's going down, slowly.
* I bought some PIE!!!!! I just had to! Ever since I made this post, it's been all I could think of. So I got two pieces of apple pie. The only other choice was marionberry - ugh. Now I can have my PIE and think of Dean saying "Bring me some pie!!! Love me some pie." Heehee!!!!! I'm such a silly fangirl sometimes. :D

It's the name of the planet in the movie script I've been writing for over 2 years now. It's a peaceful and beautiful planet which is being attacked by an army of bloodthirsty warriors. The story follows a man who was once a student but has become a soldier to lead an army to fight back against the warriors. Along the way he finds not only his religious beliefs tested, but begins to question the decisions he's made and what it means to be Ralorian. It's not just a story about war and survival, it's also about connections between the land and people, faith, and how one can endure great trials to find one's soul again.
I'm writing the main hero character for Jensen. It's perfect for him! My script writing instructor said it would make a nice mini-series or regular TV series. *squeeee*
ii. My journal is titled You Just Can't Quit because...
It's the name of one of my favorite songs by Rick(y) Nelson. I'm a big Ricky Nelson fan - have been ever since his death on New Year's 1985. This song is one (of many) that he wrote himself. That's right, the man wrote more than just the great song "Garden Party". It's a very positive song, saying that it might seem that life's against you, but not to give up.

It's portions of a quote that I always liked from Anna Quindlen. It's just a reminder that life is short and the only time that's really important is not the past or the future, but the present.

I just loved everything about that scene. I loved the music, especially the beginning with the simple and lovely guitar as the camera panned past the Impala. I loved the setting...something so peaceful and beautiful and sunny for once! I loved how relaxed the brothers were - just drinking their beers and reflecting. The rest of the scene was also just wonderful, with great performances by Jared & Jensen. And then they had to tease us and subject us to weeks of tortuous waiting to find out the Big Secret.

* What is it with LJ lately? Sometimes I get no comments in my email. Other times I only get certain ones. *headdesk, headdesk* What the hell is going on??? *kicks LJ* I pay for an account and this is what I get?
* My cell phone isn't working...again! Actually, I suddenly and for no reason have lost all my minutes in my account. Grrrrr! Tried to go to the store yesterday to inquire about it, but I forgot it was the day they started selling the Apple IPhones. There was a line around the building and the store was closed as the workers prepped. >:[ Now I've got to find another day to get this situation fixed. And they'd better not tell me I'll have to buy more minutes. I had some $50 worth of minutes left and they just vanished. I want those back! *done ranting now*
* I'm taking an online class over the summer about the history of film and guess what? There's a guy named Jerred in my class. Yeah, it's spelled differently, but still...kinda cool. I can't help but smile every time I see he's posted something to the class bulletin board. Now if only there was a guy named Jensen in the class...my summer would be complete. :)
* Recently watched DVDs:
"Nightmare Alley" with Tyrone Power (Interesting...Power plays a man in a carnival act who soon starts to develop psychic abilities. An unusual role for Power and he does a great job at the very end...transforming himself from the handsome leading man we're all used to seeing to a very ugly and disturbed man. Is it wrong that I keep comparing him to Jensen? If you know what Tyrone Power looked like, you know what I mean.)
"Bell, Book & Candle" with James Stewart (Another weird movie. How strange that I just happened to check out 2 movies from the public library that have threads of the supernatural in them? This one's about a group of witches and one of them falls in love with Stewart's character, while trying to keep her witchly powers secret.)
"The Cosby Show" Seasons 3 & 4 (This TV show still holds up great. One of the staple comedies of the 1980s.)
