Got a call about my laptop being ready for pick-up, which I'll do later today. Still no idea what was wrong, what was fixed, or if my files are still intact. Hoping for the best though. :)

As for the PC, it's running very smoothly on Windows 7. After nearly 2 years, it's great to have a properly running machine again. I've only added a few essential programs: IrfanView, VLC, Zipeg, Foxit Reader, Yahoo Messenger, FireFox, and Avast Anti-Virus. I'll add others slowly, but for now, these are working fine.

I'll say this for Windows 7...I couldn't have asked for an easier or quicker upgrade and all from a messed up version of Vista where I had no internet. I did a clean install and I'm very glad I did. It took less than an hour, backed up ALL my files, and recognized my printer without me having to do a thing. Four days later and I'm quite pleased with this upgrade. My PC is now running like it always should have. :D

Here's the status of things thus far:

:: Got my HD download of 5x08 and have capped it on the PC with VLC. If they look good on the laptop, these are the ones I'll eventually post. If not, I'll re-cap it on the Mac.
:: If my files are intact on the laptop, The Name That Cap Challenge will resume on Tuesday and I'll have access to all my caps again so the selections for Just 'Cause will also expand.
:: Normally, I'd be posting my First Impressions for 5x09 by now, but since I haven't posted for 5x08 yet, I'll wait until I can get that done first.
:: The same goes for the B&W Fanarts. However, since I've capped 5x08, I can work from those, which I'll start doing this weekend.

On a random note: I'm seriously thinking of re-vamping my user pics. Need some new pretties to use.
Looking forward to having my beloved laptop back. :D
