Dumped and forgotten

One of the first people to ever friend me has just de-friended me. I just got the notification in my email. Just like that. No warning, no explanation, zip. I'm stunned, hurt, pissed....you name it. I went to her LJ and saw that it's now friends only, but there isn't even any way to communicate with her. You can't even request to be added as a friend. I checked and she now only has 30 people on her flist. Granted, we never actively talked online all that much. I recall commenting on her journal a few times, though. I even frequent the comm she helps mod. Can you say awkward?
I just don't get it. Most people at least say they're doing a friends cut before they start eviscerating people right and left. If she wanted to cut herself off from some of the fandom then she's certainly succeeded. Man! I was having a good day and then this happens. >:[ I know I probably shouldn't take it personally, but I am right now. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better about it, but right now it really hurts. I keep looking for explanations, but I'm not finding any. I'll probably never get one either, which is even worse.
