Christmas Decorations 2009

raloriaI fell way behind this year and despite my best efforts, only finished decorating Thursday. *sigh* So much for getting it all done the first week of December. The tree is what caused the most problems, with having to replace the light string that had been on the tree since we bought it. I tried some LED lights last year, but was very disappointed with their cold look. So back to the regular Christmas lights it was this year. And what an ordeal THAT was! Ugh! But it all got done, and now we have a lovely tree again.

With the humongous rhody in the front, it's kinda hard to see both windows at the same time.
The lit windows as you approach the front door.
The Christmas tree after I finally got a working set of lights put on.
This is in my bedroom, btw, w/the tree sitting on my bed. Note the SPN pics on the wall. ;)
The finished tree all decorated and on top of our player piano.
The tree with the lighted garland I put around the piano.
While the decorated tree was still in my room I took some CU shots of the ornaments.
Most of these we bought last year.
The snowmen were part of a set.
I'm really pleased with how these came out.
This one is beautiful and I can see it as a Christmas Card. ;)
I love the snowflake on his belly!
We got these ornament sets from Macy's at a terrific sale price.

Cute music notes, but they're upside down! Heh.
Up towards the top, with everything all sparkly!
I really love that cardinal one. Mom & I decorated the tree together, which is always fun!
We got very silly, listening to holiday music on my laptop and decorating the tree.
