More Spring Flower Photos

raloriaThursday turned out to be nothing like I thought it would be. I went from being in a good mood to feeling like I was in a pit of depression. A couple of small things were the cause, I believe, but it's still hard to fathom that they could bring me down so quickly. I took a short nap and felt a little better, but it was late afternoon and I usually go for my walk then. At the same time, the sun was out and I've been trying to get some more photos of the neighborhood trees while the sun was out because that's when they look their best. In a few more days the blossoms will be confetti on the ground. So I opted for photos over going for my walk. *shrugs*
Somehow simply being outside in the sun and fresh air helped me. It was calming to have a camera in my hands, focusing on what framing looked right, what angles I wanted to use and such. Once I got started I didn't want to stop. I ended up taking 42 photos, mostly of the trees. Btw, they're not cherry trees, even though they have similar flowers. Years ago you might see some kind of plum or cherry-type fruit come from them, but I haven't seen them do that for a very long time. I think they've all grown too old. The city we live in, planted the trees throughout the neighborhood. Some have gone down due to storms, disease, or people simply wanting to get rid of them, but for the most part there's still quite a few on every street. Some people have more than one, but we've always had the single tree in our front yard and I grew up playing underneath it. In 2008, my uncle trimmed the tree for mom and I and I like to think of it as a living testament to him now, because it hasn't looked so good in many a year.
Well, I've rambled on long enough. Let's get to the photos already, shall we? :)
Note: There's a few vertical shots, but I can't get them to show up that way for me from Photobucket. They remain horizontal. I've done everything I can to rotate them and re-save them, but trying them out w/a couple of people one saw them correctly and one didn't. So if you see them as horizontal I do apologize.
1. I love the pink blossoms set against the blue sky.
2. Puffy little cloud. :)
3. You can see the dark leaves already starting to come out.
4. I love the smell of these trees. It's so sweet!

6. You'd think the bees would be all over these, but I rarely see them around the flowers.

It has a branch that hangs down low, so I could get right in front of it for some close-ups.
