More about that in a sec...meanwhile, how about a cap of the boys?
Ugh. My arms and hands are so sore (not to mention my head is killing me). Did some yard work yesterday and now my body is reminding me that I haven't used these muscles for quite a while. Ouch! Mom & I got to work cutting back the remaining branches of the monster tree/bush that was cut down a couple of weeks ago. Some of it ended up coming up on the other side of our old garden shed and was several feet tall. This sucker grows fast! So we cut all the branches down and then I did my best to pull the remaining stalks out of the ground, roots and all. Some came out easier than others. The thicker ones (bigger around than your thumb) were very stubborn, but I pulled and pulled and eventually got them all. It's depressing looking at the state of the yard these days. Didn't get to do the gardening I wanted to this year because of the lousy weather. Hopefully next year will be better.
In other news...
* Put the first 2 discs of S1 of Farscape on hold/reserve from my local public library. Now I'll finally get to see this series from the beginning. Yay!
* Why, oh why, do they insist on putting those super sticky and annoying stickers on all three sides of a DVD case? I wrestled with these on a DVD this evening and it took me 10 to 15 minutes just to take all 3 stickers off and then use them to remove the remaining sticky residue they left behind. Grrrrrrrrrrr!
* Movies/TV series/DVDs watched recently:
-- Everybody Loves Raymond - Season 6
-- Vertigo
-- Double Indemnity
-- Hell And High Water
-- The Grapes Of Wrath (listened to commentary)
-- American Graffiti
* BIG HUGS to everyone who commented to my latest posts. I don't normally make 4 posts in one day and by the end I was bleary-eyed and exhausted. But I wanted to get my picspams back on track and now I can start the ones for the new week with everything on schedule. Thank you all so much for your praise and kind words. I try to put out the best work I can for the fandom and it's so nice to get such overwhelming responses. I was greeted by 21 messages in my email on Friday afternoon from all your comments. I read and enjoyed every one of them. You'll never know how wonderful it makes me feel to read your comments and know that all my time and hard work is appreciated from people the world over. So again, to everyone on my flist (both old and new) and to all of you lurkers out there who pop in and view my posts...THANK YOU!!! *hugs everyone*
* And speaking of all your comments...I'm woefully behind on my replies yet again. I never even caught up on my older ones. I'm seriously considering using Monday just to do nothing but do replies. Maybe then I can finally say I'm caught up for once.
I'm now off to try and catch up on my friends list and other SPN goings-on...or maybe I'll just take my tired body to bed...haven't decided yet.
