Dark Angel Picspam # 20 - Love Among The Runes - Part 1

We're in the final countdown for the DA picspams, with this being the second to the last episode. Love Among The Runes brings more questions along with a few answers about White's breeding cult, as he continues to tighten the noose around the transgenics. Logan has set up shop in Joshua's old house, Alec learns that Max told Logan the two of them were together, and a fellow friend and transgenic is brutally murdered by a group of vigilantes. Meanwhile, strange markings start appearing on Max's skin.

There are 225 caps total for this episode, so I'm breaking it up into 4 parts - 2 this week and 2 next week.

In Part One: Alec, Biggs, and Max rescue a transgenic from the police and White. We also get a glimpse of Alec's inclusion of Motor-Pony to Normal's business.

Part 1 -

Interesting how they brought in a new character, who clearly has some history, just to kill him off within the hour. You gotta love the name choice too...Biggs. Just like the poor guy in Star Wars. Heh. He didn't last long either. Meanwhile, our boy Alec is looking his usual handsome self in our favorite leather jacket.


Anyway, Biggs, who is clearly working at Jam Pony, is reminiscing with Alec over a past mission for Manticore. Alec: "Oh, the off-hours were definitely the highlight of that mission." Alec & Biggs: "Lola." Alec: "Yeah." Heehee! Alec is becoming more and more like Dean with each passing episode.


Alec takes a call from Max. Another transgenic is in trouble, so he and Biggs head out to help.


Some of my favorite caps are in this row. Jensen looks so cool in sunglasses, but then you add that with him riding a motorcycle....*flails* You can see why I turned the last cap into an icon. *guh* Max: "Ready?" Alec: "I'm always ready." Biggs: "Funny. That's what Lola said." *g*


More pretty of Alec and his motorcycle. *happy sigh* Got a profile shot in the deal, too.


Nice closeup shot with his head down. The trio head off to the rescue. I'm going to point out where I've included caps of Jensen's stunt double here, only because I feel the show did a poor job of hiding him. I'm happy to say SPN does a much better job of this. Anyway, in the last cap you see Jensen's stunt double as he grabs the metal pipe to use against the police and White's men.


The first two in this row are clearly Jensen, but the 3rd one isn't. Can't really tell about the 4th.


Again, no real clue whether these first 2 are of Jensen or not, but I capped them anyway. Love the last one where he shoots out the tires. *guh*


The man just looks hot on that bike. They should have switched to motorcycles at Jam Pony a long time ago! I like the coloring and lighting of the second cap, with the blue and then the soft white light from the windows. Alec finds out Normal's printing out flyers to promote a "transgenic-free Seattle".


Then Biggs comes in on his motorcycle, which raises Normal's ire, but Alec tells him Biggs has already been on three runs. Btw, love the look over the shoulder in the 2nd and third caps.


Apparently it was Alec's idea to start using motorcycles for deliveries and it's upped the delivery rate by 15%. Normal concedes, the bikes are a good idea, but he doesn't want them ridden indoors.


Cute little look he gives to Biggs here when Normal complains about him riding the bike inside. Meanwhile, we jump ahead a little here, to where Alec looks up when Logan (via webcam) asks about him to Max.


'Course, she plays it all cool and says he's fine and she's fine and whatever. Poor Alec, doesn't have a clue yet that Logan thinks he took Max away from him.
