Capping 5x22
May. 18th, 2010 02:18 amLJ is being bitchy and not letting me into Scrapbook as I would like, but I'm going to post this anyway.
I started capping SPN's season finale tonight. Started at around 8:30 p.m. Monday and didn't finish until 5 hours later at around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. I knew I was over-capping, but I didn't care. This episode is too important to be stingy with my capping finger. ;)
Most of the video I moved close to frame by frame. It's hard and tedious, but it's the only way to capture nearly everything. I know I'll regret it when I sort through the caps, but I also know I got some amazing moments and images. Several times I found myself tearing up. Even though I heard the audio in bits and chunks, I knew what had been said and even replayed a moment here and there and was surprised that it got to me. I was more emotional than when I initially watched the episode. I guess there's something about viewing it so slowly. Everything is heightened. Like I said on Twitter, somehow slowing all the action down makes it more painful to watch.
I do have to share one cool thing I spotted. When Dean's about to ride into the graveyard in the Impala and he puts a tape into the cassette deck? It's labeled "Kick It In The Ass". What a cool little tribute to Kim Manners. :D
Take a look. This is the best cap I could get of it. Click to see it larger.

There's 1,680 caps btw, but I'll sort that down. Phew! My fingers are all cramped up! Anyway, I thought I'd share that bit with you. ;)
