raloriaOMG! This day has been....Aaarrrrrgggggghhhhh!
That's the only kind of response I can give it right now. Crazy would probably be a good word...yeah, we'll go with that. Because it hasn't all been bad, but some it has been very annoying.
* New Desktop Computer:
It took me all afternoon & evening to unhook my old computer & printer and then set up the new system. Everything was going well until I got to the new monitor (a beautiful 22" widescreen! whoo!). It had the analog cable for connecting it to the tower, but not the digital (DVI) one. They (Gateway) decided that was optional. Yet on the back of the tower they put tape over the analog input and said to use the digital one! Then why didn't they supply a digital cable??? The part that really irks me, is they didn't even tell you on the outside of the box that the DVI cable wasn't included. It would have been nice to know that bit of info. And why on earth would you provide an analog cable anyways? With technology progressing as fast as it is, they're still using analog? It's like giving someone a vinyl record instead of a CD. Grrrr! Then I find out the new HP All-In-One printer doesn't come with a USB cable! BAH! So off I went for a late evening dash to Best Buy, all stinky & dusty from disconnecting the old computer. What fun. Luckily, I found my needed cables and was able to finish setting everything up.
It's really a beautiful system. It's a Gateway, just like my old one, but wow! the power & space! Wheeeeee! This will keep me going for a while. :D Installed the new printer this afternoon, and it's working nicely. Now it's just a matter of seeing what of my old software I can now install on Vista and move all of my files over. I've got quite a job ahead of me. Yikes! But it's nice to have a nice, new shiny computer. *pets it* :)
* Can I just unplug/turn off the phones now?:
What is it about some days? The phones were just ringing like crazy today. It was annoying to me 'cause here I was trying to finish setting up the computer and trying stuff out and kept getting interrupted! Grrrr!
* Ouchies:
I battled a headache for most of the day, too. All that stuff going on plus a headache....not fun.

* Random Rant:
I hate winter. The days are too short, it's cold & having the heater on so much in the house dries out my skin. Time to dig out the moisturizers. *Sigh*
* Smallest Status Report Ever:
I hope to get the last part of my AHBL picspam posted in the next several hours (w/zipped folders). I'm also trying to catch up with my flist after a full day offline and I'm still behind in my replies. *resolves to get caught up this weekend*
