Hooboy! What a busy, long day I had. Now...I sleepy....zzzzzzzzz......

I'd go to sleep, but I've got some things to do first. Like this little mini status report & rambly post. Can't guarantee how coherent I'll be, so bear with me, okay?

* I've missed acknowledging the birthdays of two on my Flist this week and the 3rd one's is today. I'm a bad friend sometimes. I apologize. This will be rectified shortly.

* Fell behind on my Songs Of The Season posts again the other night. I'll post the next one in a bit. Gotta keep those holiday tunes comin'. ;)

* Was out all afternoon & evening, but recorded the Mag 7 eppy again, 'cause...well...why not? *shrugs* Besides, I believe my original recording has a tiny glitch in it when the reception dropped out for a second. Anyway, came home and watched the highlights and caught the ad for the Christmas eppy!!! Didn't show much, but then you can't expect them to. I just can't wait to see this one!

* In other news...there's been another post over at [livejournal.com profile] spn_postcards with new photos of the postcards adorning the studio office walls! I haven't had a chance to look for the last two I sent, but I'm sure they're there.

* Got a poor grade on the Philosophy quiz I took Monday. Meh. The instructor (aka Mr. Older Dean Winchester) says I'm not really in trouble grade-wise, but I'm not doing great either. He says all I need to do is get an "A" on the Final. Sure...easy for him to say. I did so-so on my last online class quiz. And there's another quiz in that class over the weekend. Then there's the group project for that class....yikes! We started out with 6 people in our group...it's now down to just 3 of us! Haven't heard a peep from the others for almost 3 weeks now. So now with less than a week to complete the project the rest of us are scrambling. We're also dealing with our other classes, which means we're not exactly working on this one too much right now. This weekend is either going to make or break us. I will say this...the 2 that are still with me in the group seem pretty reliable. Meanwhile, I somehow fell into the leader role and have been trying to get us organized. So...yeah...this should be an interesting and stressful weekend just from my classes alone.

* Speaking of the weekend...it's set to be a crazy one. Crazy good and crazy bad. Got some stuff lined up for Saturday which could turn out to be very good. Like awesomely good. But I don't wanna say anything more and jinx it. :P

* I haven't had a random TV quote here for a while, so here's one from the sitcom, Frasier:

Frasier: You refused to take me to see West Side Story on my eighth birthday.
Martin: Because of the gangs! Those would be scary to any kid!
Frasier: Even gangs that dance?
Martin: Especially gangs that dance!

LOL! :D

I'm running out of things to say, so I guess it's time to get back to my other stuff and return you all to your normal livejournaling activities. Thanks for taking the time to read my rambling. Hope everyone has a good weekend. *hugs flist* :)

This is a belated birthday picspam for [livejournal.com profile] ithilmenel (Nov. 25th) and [livejournal.com profile] chasingangel82 (Nov. 26th). So sorry for posting this late, but I hope you each had a wonderful day!

Today (Nov. 30th) is [livejournal.com profile] stolenglimpse's birthday, so this picspam goes out to her too.

Happy Birthday Wishes to all of you!!!!!

There's a nice assortment of S2 caps of the boys here. Enjoy! (that means those of you who aren't celebrating a birthday too!) ;)

Eight full sized caps - not too dialup friendly... )

I missed another day, due to coming home late and then just being too tired to get on the computer. This will probably keep happening for the next week or so as my college quarter finishes up. I'll just post on as many days as I can.

I'm going to try to post one or two seasonal/holiday songs a day. These will come from either my own CD collection or my online findings. I'll try my best to make a post each day and we'll see how many I can get done by Christmas day. These songs will run the gamut: from traditional to modern takes on old classics. There will be country, pop, jazz, oldies, big band, new age, comedy....anything and everything. And don't think that if you don't celebrate Christmas that there won't be anything for you. Not all of the offerings will be specific to Christmas. Some will be just about winter. They will all be favorites of mine and I'll give you some info. and why it's my fave with each song. Happy Listening!

Note: I'm using SendSpace for all of these downloads. Since I'm on dialup, it was just a logical choice to choose one host. If you have any trouble getting a song and would like me to use MegaUpload instead, just let me know and I'll try to get it up for you there.

I will also have each of these posts available to all for one week and then will Friends lock them.

Day 4 --

Early Morning Snowfall.mp3 -- By Chuck Brown from "Incandescence".

I think I found this piece on Amazon.com's free download section last year. It's very mellow, reflective, and nostalgic.

Christmas Bells.mp3 -- By Kinder Ringers from "Christmas Handbells".

I've loved the sound of handbells ever since I was a child and saw a group perform them at a local mall during the Christmas season. There's something about their rich, resonant tones that bring a magical quality to any Christmas song.

*** I'd love a comment if you're downloading any of the songs, thanks! ***
