You ever been so tired, so sleepy, but you stayed up anyway...even though you really didn't know why? That's what I feel like right now. I should go to bed, but I just keep web surfing. Bah. It could be I'm trying to avoid working on my piece for the group project in my online class. I took the last quiz in that class (unless we have a final?) and finished with only 1 min. to spare! Eeep! Really don't know how I did. Right now I just wanna get this group project done and over with. It really hasn't gone well at all. I'm rambling now....ugh.

Anyhow, before I head off to the Land of Nod, I thought I'd share a cool little goodie I added to my new toy *coughLaptopcough*. This is only spoilery if you consider episode titles to be spoilery and honestly? If you don't know the title of the next episode, showing on Dec. 13th? What rock have you been living under? I'm also just too tired and lazy to put it behind a cut...so there.

It's a cool little countdown clock. You can have it set to whatever TV show you want. Just give it the name, what continent, and the nearest city. Love that it popped up with a pic of the boys, too! :D

Nine days!!! The wait is getting worse and worse each day! I don't see how this episode could possibly disappoint me...all I've read and seen about it is just too wonderful! Can't wait! Oh, but I have to...bummer!

Okay...I'm off to bed now. Happy Tuesday, Flist! *hugs* I'll be busy with homework. Yuck!

I'm going to try to post one or two seasonal/holiday songs a day. These will come from either my own CD collection or my online findings. I'll try my best to make a post each day and we'll see how many I can get done by Christmas day. These songs will run the gamut: from traditional to modern takes on old classics. There will be country, pop, jazz, oldies, big band, new age, comedy....anything and everything. And don't think that if you don't celebrate Christmas that there won't be anything for you. Not all of the offerings will be specific to Christmas. Some will be just about winter. They will all be favorites of mine and I'll give you some info. and why it's my fave with each song. Happy Listening!

Note: I'm using SendSpace for all of these downloads. Since I'm on dialup, it was just a logical choice to choose one host. If you have any trouble getting a song and would like me to use MegaUpload instead, just let me know and I'll try to get it up for you there.

I will also have each of these posts available to all for one week and then will Friends lock them.

Day 7 --

When Winter Comes -- By Eddie Duchin & his Orch. from "Christmas On The Bandstand".

Another nice song about the winter weather that's one of my favorites.

I've got a special treat today. Tonight CBS is airing the classic "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" special. I, like so many others, grew up watching this program every Christmas. I know it backwards and forwards and love all the songs. So I'll be featuring some of the songs over the coming weeks.

Here's a pic, a few links, and 2 songs from the program:

Silver and Gold -- By Burl Ives from "Rudolph, Frosty and Friends' Favorite Christmas Songs".

This lovely song from "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" is one of my favorites by Burl Ives. The words, the tune...all are perfect for the Christmas season.

Jingle, Jingle, Jingle -- By Stan Francis from "Rudolph, Frosty and Friends' Favorite Christmas Songs".

Our second entry from "Rudolph..." is this bouncy, happy number sung by Santa. I always loved the Santa on this program...he had some great lines. "Great bouncing icebergs!" LOL! Love that one!

*** I'd love a comment if you're downloading any of the songs, thanks! ***

I've only seen this posted to a few places and since I'm dying to see this episode, I thought I'd share the goodies.

This the extended promo for 3.08 "A Very Supernatural Christmas".

I made a few caps, which wasn't all that easy on a Mac. Grrr.
Please credit me if you use/take any. :)

9 caps behind the cut 'cause they might be spoilery to some...sort of dialup friendly )

I'm working on my piece for the group project in my online class and thought I'd take a mini break and do something fun to keep myself awake.

Luckily, [livejournal.com profile] shawnawitter posted a couple of fun mems just in time. So I gave a couple of them a try...

Two fun memes & a bumper sticker proving my geekiness... )

Ah, well...fun's over. Back to work.
