It took me forever (well, okay...a few days) to track down the song used in that final scene of last week's episode, but I finally found it! :D

The song is "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Rosemary Clooney. Problem is, most of the places I searched online kept coming up with the wrong version and not the one they used on the show, which is from her "White Christmas" album issued in 1996. I could have checked the album out from my local library, but there's already several holds on it and I likely wouldn't get my hands on it until February!

But tonight I finally thought to check the old standby...SoundAmerica. It has tons of wav files and sure enough, they had the right version. It's mono and not the greatest quality, but it's not too bad.

I don't have a quick way to convert the wav file into an mp3, so all I've got is the original .wav and an .m4a version. If you really want it as an mp3, just let me know and I'll try and convert it and repost it.

Btw, if you'd like to convert the file yourself (or any audio files for that matter) I highly recommend dBpoweramp Music Converter. It's free, easy to use, and does an excellent job. I use it on my desktop PC all the time.

Anyway, enjoy the music! :D

I'm going to try to post one or two seasonal/holiday songs a day. These will come from either my own CD collection or my online findings. I'll try my best to make a post each day and we'll see how many I can get done by Christmas day. These songs will run the gamut: from traditional to modern takes on old classics. There will be country, pop, jazz, oldies, big band, new age, comedy....anything and everything. And don't think that if you don't celebrate Christmas that there won't be anything for you. Not all of the offerings will be specific to Christmas. Some will be just about winter. They will all be favorites of mine and I'll give you some info. and why it's my fave with each song. Happy Listening!

Note: I'm using SendSpace for all of these downloads. Since I'm on dialup, it was just a logical choice to choose one host. If you have any trouble getting a song and would like me to use MegaUpload instead, just let me know and I'll try to get it up for you there.

I will also have each of these posts available to all for one week and then will Friends lock them.

Day 14 --

Happy Holidays - The Holiday Season -- By Andy Williams from "The Andy Williams Christmas Album".

This is a great song medley to help you get in the Christmas spirit!

Mistletoe & Holly -- By Frank Sinatra from "A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra".

Another favorite from ol' Blue Eyes himself.

One Bright Star (This Christmas Night) -- By Vince Gill from "Let There Be Peace On Earth".

I was a big Vince Gill fan back in the day, even went to a few concerts. Since then I've sort of strayed away from the current crop of country music artists, preferring to stick with the ones I enjoyed in the past. This is one of my favorites from his first Christmas album.

Rockin' Round The Christmas Tree -- By Brenda Lee from "The Best Of Christmas, Volume 1".

This is an old favorite. I've seen Brenda Lee's show in Branson, Missouri and I can tell you she performs this hit year round, lit up Christmas tree on the stage and everything!

*** I'd love a comment if you're downloading any of the songs, thanks! ***

I just checked my grades for this quarter and I passed them both!

Philosophy C-
Media Law & Ethics B

I'm not too happy about that C- (that's my lowest grade for a college class), but at least it's still passing. This means I'm graduating! At last! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!! *does happy dance*

Yep. I got official confirmation in the mail a couple of days ago that I was cleared to graduate if I passed the classes for this quarter. Whoohoo!!!!

Wow! No more classes, no more long 20 mile commute, no more expensive text books that I could never keep up with the reading in, no more of any of that....stuff! LOL! A higher education and I'm reduced to using words like "stuff". Oh, well. I don't care. I'm outta there! :D

Now I get to start the new year with a fresh outlook. Time for me to finally do something with my life (besides attending classes...lol). It's exciting and scary all at the same time. The good news is that there's a film project getting set up to begin production in a few months time and hopefully I'll be a part of it. I can't wait! For the first time in a long time, things are finally starting to turn around in my life. I can see a hopeful future instead of a dismal one.

Bring on 2008! :D

I know it's not the same as a real card, but I assure you the feelings behind them will be real. I have the best Flist in the world and I want to show my appreciation and love for you. *hugs*

Oh, and a special little shout-out to [livejournal.com profile] apieceofcake for her lovely SPN/Jensen E-Card she sent me last week. Mwuah! Thanks so much Jo! I love it! :)
