I was just outside for about 10 minutes to measure our snow total so far.

We've got 3 inches, as of midnight (Sunday).

Except for the cold (it's currently 25 degrees) and the wind battering my face with the tiny snowflakes, I was thoroughly enjoying myself. Snow like this is so rare around here that when we do get it I like to go out and enjoy it. Most times it's like this...late at night (because that's normally when we get snow). It's quiet, the sky is a mauvy pink and everything that normally looks black and creepy in the darkness is now blanketed in white powder.

There was one fairly strong wind gust while I was out there, but I held onto my hat (literally, to keep it over my ears) and walked away from the taller evergreen trees along our east fence just in case. The winds are supposed to die down in a few hours, which is good news. However, the snow is supposed to keep up until mid-day Sunday, so who knows how many inches we'll have by then.

Check out how the radar looked over WA, Oregon & British Columbia at about 10 p.m. Saturday night. Even though part of it is green, that's all coming down as snow. And yep, even Vancouver got more snow (though I'm assuming Jensen & Jared are home in Texas with their families this close to Christmas).

This cap from S4 "Yellow Fever".

I LOVE this scene! Let me count the ways: Dean wearing a henley and showing off those sexy arms, our boys outside and in the sun, Dean wearing a henley and showing off those sexy arms, the boys leaning against the lovely Impala drinking beer, Bobby!!!!, Dean wearing a henley and showing off those sexy arms, the boys dressed in single layers at last!, oh....and did I mention Dean wearing a henley and showing off those sexy arms? *GUH*
Anyhoo, enough drooling over the boys....'cause I'm sure the rest of you will do the same when you see this cap. This brings an end to S4 week and tomorrow kicks in the return of random caps. I've already got some waiting in the wings so...look out! Heh. ;) Oh, and since it's late and I should be in bed already, I'll be posting the next Songs Of The Season post when I get up. My goodness! Sunday already! Where has the time gone! Looks like our Christmas letter we send out is now going to be a New Years letter. *sigh* What can you do?

I know I sound like a broken record, but.....it's still snowing.
Unbelievable.

We might get another 3-8 inches tonight on top of the 3-4 inches we already have.

But in the good news department....the Seattle Seahawks beat the NY Jets 13-3, for coach Mike Holmgren's final home game. \0/

I have no idea when I'll be driving the car again. Which is just as well because some stations are starting to run out of gas in the area. Just Peachy. :(

I ventured out once again with my handy wooden ruler to enjoy the snow for a little bit and measure how much we've gotten in the past 24 hours.

Current snow total (with it still falling): 7 inches

The way the current forecast is (for continued snow showers into Monday), we could have a foot of the stuff by morning.

No wind tonight, which means the snow is sticking to the tree branches more, weighing them down. It looks incredible. I haven't seen this much snow here in years. You can barely tell where the curbs are in the neighborhood and I could tell most folks haven't even stepped outside in days because their garbage cans are still sitting on the edge of their driveways since Thursday's pickup.

I even ate a little snow. It's a habit I've had since childhood. :P

Looks like it will indeed be a White Christmas for us.
