I'm heartbroken! First of all, I had to hunt down this news on Twitter. Why it wasn't all over my timeline with all the local news accounts I follow is beyond me.

I've been a Seahawks fan most of my life. I've seen great players come and go, but this really hurts. I've liked Wilson from the start, loved his positive attitude, and his great leadership qualities. And OMG can the man throw a football! Perfect accuracy. And the way he avoids getting tackled? Legendary. Then there's Wagner, another amazing player who's been with the team for so long. This is an awful 1-2 punch. Sure, the Seahawks had a terrible time last season, but some of it was just bad luck.

I just can't imagine the Seahawks without Russell. He wanted to stay here, spend the rest of his career here in Seattle. Now it's over...sSa_wah

Look who got to raise the 12th Man flag before the Seattle Seahawks vs SF 49ers game yesterday - Papa Winchester himself!!!! Been loving JDM's Tweets about the Seahawks games lately. He's such a big fan! Hopefully we're headed to the playoffs again! GoHawks!

Will the loss by the Seahawks at the 49th Super Bowl ever go away? Probably not...at least until we can erase it buy going back and winning it again. Russell has a maturity & class beyond his years. No wonder he's an inspiration and hero to so many, myself included.

A special message from QB Russell Wilson (Source):

One yard. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been thinking about that one yard for the past 17 days. Everyone wants to know how I feel. Well … it’s complicated. Walking off that field in Arizona and seeing disappointed Seahawks fans in the stands was anguish. How could I not feel like I let them down? I tried to be positive, but I’m not perfect. I have been away from the game for almost three weeks, trying to escape football and clear my mind. But the funny thing is, I’ve never felt hungrier to get in the weight room and the film room, and keep pushing until we get to Super Bowl 50.

How do I feel? I don’t know if I can fit it into a soundbite. I definitely couldn’t fit it into a 30-second Instagram video. So, after the Players’ Tribune roundtable event on Saturday, I had the camera crew stick around so I could talk it out. Sorry if it’s not perfect. There was no script here. I just wanted to talk directly to the 12s. This is for you.

Came across this awesome video on FB posted by the Seattle Seahawks. On top of their talent, THIS is why they're such an amazing team: They love and appreciate their fans and acknowledge that we're all in this together and that we'll be back in the Super Bowl again. :)

The Seattle Seahawks were set to score, set to win the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in a row. We were soooo close! But a poor play and the Patriots intercepted the ball and it was over. Patriots won 28-24.

Stunned is an understatement. I can't believe they threw the ball instead of giving it to Lynch. Lynch, who'd they'd been using endlessly the entire game! Why, oh why didn't they do it when they needed to the most??? sSa_wah

Bravo to the Patriots for a great game.
I'm heartbroken...as are all the 12s. We had it...victory was ours and now it's gone.

I still love the Seahawks, after all I've been a fan since I was a kid (Steve Largent FTW!), but this is a tough loss to take. We'll be back. I know Russell Wilson's already planning for next season. He's that kind of guy and a true champion. The team will want to erase this bitter loss, but it shouldn't have happened this way.

Holy Cow! What an incredible game! The Seattle Seahawks played sooo bad for 3 quarters. Nothing was working. Green Bay was leading from the get-go. It looked bad in the 4th quarter, but I believed. Then Seattle made 2 touchdowns in a row! Then the game went into overtime and a few plays later, Seattle got another touchdown!

We are Super Bowl bound again and that hasn't happened in 10 years!!!! GoHawks!!! CHAMPIONS NEVER QUIT!!! \0/

WE DID IT!!!!!!!! OMG So proud of my team. The first Super Bowl win in 38 years of the team's franchise. Seattle and all of WA state are celebrating tonight!!! All the years of frustration and defeat, of always being a city that also-ran but never triumphed are OVER!

The Seahawks dominated from the very beginning and never let go, burying the Broncos 43-8. It was as if the Denver Broncos were moving in slow motion as the Seahawks ran around them. Peyton Manning looked bewildered and defeated from the 1st quarter on. Meanwhile, Russell Wilson & the Hawks played the game as they have all season long - like the champions they are.

What an amazing, nail-biting, OMG-I'm-so-stressed kind of a game! Parts of it weren't pretty. There were mistakes made, but in the end the Seattle Seahawks finished on top of the San Fransisco 49ers 23-17.

I've watched the Seahawks since I was a kid, often with my dad and/or my grandpa. I even have a Steve Largent poster that used to be on my wall. This is only the 2nd time that the Hawks have ever gone to the Super Bowl. Think we're due for some greatness? Think we're due to win the whole thing? Hell, yes! Seattle has never won...anything in professional sports. We've occasionally come close, but we've never gone all the way and won the big games. So many times we've been told our teams are lousy, they're not good enough, we'll never win. Finally we have a team that is talented enough and believes enough to win. A sportscaster months ago said the Seahawks were winning because they believed they could and darn it if that hasn't turned out to be the case.

Somehow it feels like the stars are aligning and something magical and great and meant-to-be is about to happen. This is our time. This is destiny...at last. Go Hawks! sHa_shakeshout

Heh. One more awesome video from today's Seahawks vs. Saints game. Marshawn Lynch breaks 7 tackles to score a touchdown that clinches the Seahawk's win. :D

I couldn't believe how he got past everyone and even had help from QB Matt Hasselbeck to make it into the end zone. Out-friggin'-standing!

Had to share this great video of reactions from the Seattle Seahawks & the fans following today's upset win over the Saints. :D

Seattle stuns New Orleans 41-36 in NFC playoffs

I'll mirror a lot of the comments on that article. Nobody in the US outside of the Seattle area gave the Seahawks a chance against the Super Bowl champion Saints. Nobody. But how did they win! Take THAT all doubters!

Never underestimate the Seahawks. NEVER.

Everyone kept going on about the Seahawks going into the playoffs with a losing record, but you know what? It doesn’t matter. Just like the Saints being the Superbowl Champions doesn’t matter. We beat them. We’re going on and they’re done for the season. It's sickening to listen to the bias of the east-coast sportscasters. Even NBC before the game went on and on about the Saints, interviewing QB Drew Brees, and giving nothing to the Seahawks.

The Saints put up a good fight, but they couldn't match the power of the Seahawks and the deafening noise of the 12th Man inside Quest Field. And that touchdown run by Marshawn Lynch? OMG It was jaw-droppingly incredible! WATCH

Jokes, lightweights, laughingstocks. Not these Seattle Seahawks. They just sent the defending Super Bowl champions packing.

NY Times: Derided and Disregarded, Seahawks Shock the Saints

Bears or Falcons next week. Bring it on! We're ready for you! \0/

I know I sound like a broken record, but.....it's still snowing.
Unbelievable.

We might get another 3-8 inches tonight on top of the 3-4 inches we already have.

But in the good news department....the Seattle Seahawks beat the NY Jets 13-3, for coach Mike Holmgren's final home game. \0/

I have no idea when I'll be driving the car again. Which is just as well because some stations are starting to run out of gas in the area. Just Peachy. :(

The boys are here. In Seattle. As I type this. *is exceedingly happy just thinking about it* :D

They were here to watch the Seahawks vs. Phillys football game. *squee* The bad news, of course, is that the Seahawks lost 26-7. Awful. I wonder which team the boys were rooting for. *hopes it was the Seahawks* :D This is the second time that they've come to Seattle to watch a football game. *wonders how often they come here...hmmmmm*

And the best thing? Right now I imagine they're on their way to Sea-Tac airport to fly back up to Vancouver. I live about 10 minutes away from the airport!!! OMG I should not be this fangirly over the guys being in my own state. *tries to calm down....fails* Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Damn! If they can come down here for a football game why can't we get them here for a convention? Gah! They're here! They're friggin' here and I can't see them!!!!! Life is so cruel. *sobs*

The Seattle Seahawks had a great opening against the Green Bay Packers, scoring 14-0 within the first 4 minutes of the game. Sadly, that was the only fleeting moment of victory, as the snow and the Packers smothered the Seahawks 42-20. Ouch!

View From Green Bay: Favre was golden in Packers victory from the Seattle PI

It was a tough loss to watch, but the Packers were in their element: a full house and a steady snowfall. It would be nice to blame the snow for the Seahawks's loss, but the simple fact is that the Packers were just better this day. The one comfort is that there's always next year. :)

I'm watching the playoff game between the Seahawks & the Packers - Go Hawks!!!! - but just before the game started I saw an ad for Clearwire. Clearwire is the high speed internet I use and I've never seen a commercial on TV for it before. The cool part, however, was that this commercial had Gabriel Tigerman aka Andy Gallagher!!! It was a hilarious commercial too. He's going to show how easy Clearwire is to set up and gets hit with a tranquilizer dart in the neck. *giggles* He then proceeds to set it up anyway as he fights to stay conscious, but since it's so quick and easy he gets it done just in time and then passes out. LOL I sure hope they show it again sometime and I can get it recorded!

Okay, back to the game....which currently is tied at 14. Go Hawks!!!!!!

Hey gang! It's been a long day, but a very happy one because the Seattle Seahawks won their first game of the playoffs against the Washington Redskins (35-14)!!!!!

Hawks sink Washington 35-14, face Packers next - Seattle Times article.

I watched the game (on the TV) from start to finish and it was an exciting and at times nerve-wracking 3 1/2 hours. The Hawks came out strong and really only slipped a bit in the 3rd quarter when they allowed the Redskins to score, but they regrouped and mounted a second surge in the 4th quarter. The "12th Man" (the name of the Seahawks fans) was out in full force and totally rocking Qwest Field in downtown Seattle.

Next Saturday the Seahawks will face the Green Bay Packers! I really hope this year is the team's turn to go all the way and win the Superbowl at last!!!!! Yaaaaaaaay!!!!!!! :D

Yep, I'm a Seahawks fan. *g* Been one since I was a young kid and used to watch the games on TV with my dad. I was a huge Steve Largent fan and at one time had a poster of him on my bedroom wall. Ah, those were the days... Now, I'm excited to see the team finally become a force to be reckoned with. They're still not respected by the rest of the country, but ask most Washingtonians and we love our Seahawks! Whoohoo! Go Hawks!!!
