While out shopping on Friday evening I was driving through the parking lot of a shopping mall. I passed by a liquor store and was shocked to see a young girl with (I presume) her mother, set up with a little table, selling Girl Scout cookies right by the door!

What parent would take their kid to a liquor store to sell cookies?????
Wow. Sometimes the human race really baffles me.

Finally tracked down a copy of "The Christmas Cottage" on DVD yesterday. Yay!

I've been listening to the commentary and watching the featurettes.

Frankly, as nice and pleasant as the film is, you get the director, Michael Campus, and Thomas Kinkade together and it becomes this huge overgrown lovefest. *gag* I get it....Kinkade grew up in poverty and in a broken home, but he's hardly the only person to start out in such conditions. Sheesh. Yet they continued to shove this down your throat throughout the commentary and the featurettes. It gets to be a bit much IMO.

And to be honest, I still think Kinkade is a bit full of himself.

There are some highlights to report though....

* The director referring to Jared as the next Jimmy Stewart. :)
* Jared talking about first meeting Peter O'Toole on the set and being accepted so freely as a fellow actor.
* Marcia Gay Harden reading her poem about the film with a lot of appreciation to the crew.
* The cast talking about their own Christmas memories.

This cap is from S1 "Dead In The Water".

It's Dean Winchester's Birthday!!!
And to celebrate I'm going simple this year. No big picspam...just this one cap. But this cap is very special to me. It's one of the first images of Dean I ever saved online when I went looking for things about SPN way back when the show began. This image of Dean from DITW did it for me. I was hooked on Dean...completely. Of course, it being Jensen probably had something to do with it. ;)

We continue with the second episode of Season One.

Keep in mind that these caps come from film footage that wasn't finished or color-corrected. I've done the best I can and shrunk them down a bit to help hide the flaws. Hope you enjoy them anyway.

Note: To view the other S1 caps in this series use my SPN S1 Screencaps tag.

I've seen that somewhere before. - Samples in clickable thumbnails & download link... )
