Lately I've really been expanding my music horizons and I thought I'd start sharing some of my discoveries. Some you'll know, some you won't, but either way it's a chance to spread some music love. And what better day to use than Mondays? It's a chance to get the week started right. ;)

The music will come in various forms: youtube video, streaming player, or download link. A song each Monday...that's the plan. :D

I've got 2 songs for you today! The first is favorite of mine from Coldplay and the second is a song used for an Acura car commercial shown during the current Winter Olympics.

Coldplay - "Lost" I hope you can watch this. It's a cool concert video.
I can't embed the video, so you'll have to go straight to the youtube page:

If you can't get the video to work, hopefully you can still listen to the song via Grooveshark's player. This is the album version of the song.

Bajofondo - "Pa' Bailar" I love videos that feature dancing!

Again, if you can't get the video to work, hopefully you can still listen to the song via Grooveshark's player.

I also have this song available for download if anyone wants it. ;)

This cap is from 4x12 "Criss Angel Is A Douchebag".

Today's cap was requested by [livejournal.com profile] ina_ami, who wanted "any cap with Dean, Sam or Cas from season 4". Two out of 3 ain't bad, right? ;)
I re-capped 5x12 yesterday, which means I'm all set to start uploading the Hi-Res caps for 5x11-5x14 for your downloading & enjoyment in the weeks to come. I can also start concentrating on finishing up with 5x14. Still gotta do my review post & fanart. They're coming...promise!
I'm still taking requests & will do so all this week!
What cap/caps would you like to see?
Lemme know in the comments & I'll see what I can do. :)

Before I went offline last night I checked out [livejournal.com profile] spnpermanon, just 'cause I was curious. I occasionally see what's going on over there when I get bored. Sure, it's the home for the crazies in SPN fandom and I tend to avoid those people, but sometimes you just gotta know what they're going on about right?

Low and behold, there was an actual thread about little ole' me! :)

http://spnpermanon.livejournal.com/2034.html?thread=4356082

I actually feel honored. It's like I've truly been initiated into the fandom now. LOL! :P

When I read the thread I found it quite laughable. MS Paint? Really???? You can't do a darned thing with that tiny program, much less edit photos or create fanart. What a joke! It's more for doodling and silly stuff. I've never used it for fanart. I use Picnik, which is an online image editor. I know most people use Photoshop or Gimp and use a lot of fancy filters and stuff and that's perfectly fine. I can use those programs (and have in the past), I simply choose not to.

And the idea that I'm a homophobe because I don't like people using slashy icons on my journal is crazy. The only reason I have that rule (and I think it's a pretty small request considering...) is because sometimes my mom has read my LJ posts and people's comments to them and I really don't want to explain some of the images people use. They don't bother me, but try explaining that to your over-70 yr old mother. Yeah. I had to briefly explain slash to her because of last season's "The Monster At The End Of This Book" and even that was awkward. So I don't have issues with homosexuality, but I do when it comes to exposing my mom or any of my relatives to it because some of them are less tolerant. Honestly, I don't know where my mom's opinion runs, but to avoid conflict with her, I figure it's best to avoid the subject as much as possible. And besides, this is MY LJ and I believe I'm well within my rights to ask that certain images not be used on it.

So there you have it. I see their points as weak and pathetic really. Goodness knows I've gotten much worse criticism elsewhere.

Today was probably the last day of sunny weather for the rest of the week, so I soaked up as much as I could from it. My legs didn't hurt as badly today and I remembered not to go further than my body could tackle. I stayed in our neighborhood, doing the big loop twice (with the hill). The trees I photographed yesterday? Even more blooms are opening throughout the neighborhood and I could smell their sweet scent several times. Mmmm.... :D
