Back to more convention fanart/photos. *g*
Thought I'd jump ahead and post some pieces from last year's VanCon so you don't have to wait for me to finish posting all the ones from 2011.

Came up with this idea a couple of week ago about how SPN begins and ends each episode. What is the very first image we see for an episode? What is the last? I must admit, the final scenes are often more memorable for me, but even I was surprised by what the very last image was at times.
I'll try to post these at least twice a week, maybe every Monday & Friday (but don't hold me to those days!). I've already got all the images for Seasons 1 & 2 ready to go. Sometimes there will be more than one cap for a beginning or ending of an episode. I'm also using my capper's discretion - meaning I'm choosing the most aesthetically pleasing image that we see first or last not always literally the first or last things we see. I'll explain this as we go along.

1.01 Beginning: We all recognize this house. Something that struck me for the first time as I was getting this cap though is that this is not the same house we later see in "Home". Of course, this is because the Pilot was filmed in California while all the rest of the eps are shot in Vancouver, Canada. It's close, but this house has a little front porch that doesn't exist on the house they later used. :P Oh! And who can forget how the shadow of that tree creepily bent up?
1.01 Ending: The boys on the scene after Jessica's death. Sam tosses a shotgun into the weapon's cache and utters a line Dean will mirror by the end of Season 2: "Come on. We got work to do."

Sorry, but after capping this man's face all evening...Jensen, why is your face so perfect? *guh* It's certainly helped here by the awesome lighting by Serge with that great little backlight to let Jensen stand out against the dark background.
Sunday was a mix of uploading caps for my new project [SPN Beginnings & Endings in my previous post today] and RL chores (which I got done - yay!).

Got our hotel room booked for VanCon!!!!
Jul. 8th, 2013 11:29 pmMom & I made the call this morning to the Best Western Downtown in Vancouver to reserve our room during our VanCon stay next month. Don't like it that we did it so late, but we've been busy. At least now we can breathe a little easier knowing that we have a room.
For those of you who don't know...the convention is held in the Sheraton Wall Centre hotel on Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver. We stay at the Best Western on Drake because A) it's a smaller hotel, B) it's more our style and not too fancy, C) White Spot restaurant!. It's about a 5 block walk for me between hotels, but I don't mind at all. So the walking I do for exercise is three-fold. I walk for health reasons, to lose weight for the con, and to prepare myself for this 5 block walk up in Van. ;)
Here's what our room basically looks like. It's nice and simple, just the way we like it. Best of all, if we get the same room we've gotten for the past 4 years, we have a great view of the Granville bridge. :)
We'll be checking in on Aug. 22nd (Thursday) and checking out on Aug. 28th (Wednesday). That gives us 2 1/2 days to location hunt after the con. Sweet! Just hope I don't get sick on the last day like last year.
VanCon's only 46 days away! Eeeeeeee!!!!!! :D
