SPN S3 DVD Set & Mini Impala Photos

raloriaI'm currently watching Disc 2 of the DVD set and thoroughly enjoying myself. :D
I didn't show up at 10 a.m. when my local Best Buy opened, but arrived around 11:30 instead. It worked out fine, however, there were between 15 and 20 of the sets left - all with the mini Impala. Got home and started off watching all the extras: Featurettes on the the Visual Effects & the Impala, the Gag Reel, and then the "A Closer Look" videos.
I've seen photos online of the locker calendar that's included with Target's DVD set and I'm glad I went with Best Buy's exclusive. From the scans I saw, they're all promo pics and episode stills we've seen online. Nothing overly special IMO.
Um.....*flails* Sorry....uh...just saw the close ups of the boys in the hospital scene from "Bedtime Stories". OMG! Their skin and their eyes and Jensen's freckles! *fights the urge to smooch every single one of them on the TV screen* *guh*
*ahem* Where was I? Oh, yeah the DVD set...hee! :P
The mini-Impala is really quite impressive, more than I even expected. It's nicely detailed, with the fine grill & Chevrolet on the front, the Ohio license plates front & back, and the correct coloring of the interior. As others pointed out from the early photos of the car online, there are a few errors. It's a two-door model where the real car is a four-door and the model has bucket seats instead of the actual bench seat in the front. But these are minor complaints for such a cool extra. :)
Even though my recordings of the episodes off the air look great, the versions on the DVDs are excellent (as one would expect) and I'm already seeing little things that I've never noticed before. Hellooooo SPN Revealed S3! Heehee! Trust me, that will come eventually. ;)
I took some photos of the set in its various stages along with lots of CU shots of the Mini Impala. It really is a beauty! *pets it* :D
