Got lots of little things to talk about, so it's random ramble time. :)

I was watching Merv Griffith's Crossword game show the other day and they had "boyishly adorable" as a clue. The word? Cute. So naturally, I thought of the guy in the cap below. :D

*** I Missed It!: I just realized I completely forgot that NKOTB were on the Today Show this morning after their initial concert was canceled on Monday because of the hurricane hitting New Orleans. Whaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!! I kept thinking about it last night and was going to set up the DVR and then totally forgot. Can't believe I missed it. Hope it's up on YouTube.

*** Wow People: I've got this cool little web counter in my sidebar by Statssheet.com and it's recording some incredible numbers for today. The return of the SPN Revealed posts is having a huge impact! Over 500 hits for today! Simply amazing! The comments have been great, btw, but what is up with everyone getting caught up on the left-handed finger snapping? Weird. My flisters had some of the best comments *hugs*, including ewlyn who totally made my day by calling me the "eagle eyed goddess of fandom". *warm fuzzies*

*** More impressive LJ info.: Speaking of some awesome numbers....my zipped folders of the S3 Gag Reel caps have been downloaded over 100 times! Never had that happen before. Aaaannnnndddd....my Just 'Cause posts are about to reach another milestone. Woot! I am a very happy LJ-er right now. :D

*** Jensen & Jared Racing: This news about Jensen & Jared participating in The Red Bull Soapbox Race this weekend was very cool to see this morning. Show of hands though....who else is hoping that Jared doesn't break another limb doing this? Naturally, I hope neither one of them gets hurt, but Jared is the more accident-prone of the two. :P Seriously, I doubt that'll happen. Those things can't possibly go very fast, right? Let's hope some of the Vancouver area SPN fans are there to take photos & video for those of us who can't be there. :)

*** No SPN = Dead LJ?: Does LJ seem especially quiet to anyone today/this evening? It's picking up a little this hour, but for the last several hours there? Dead, dead, dead.

*** Two Weeks!!!! OMG people! We've made it....well...almost. Hee! The S4 premiere is a mere 2 weeks away!!!!!!! I'm so excited! The summer's been so long, but I've kept busy enough to not be bothered by it too much. But now that we're so close I'm all impatient. Must have new eppies! Must have them NOW! Me wantz the boys!!!!!

*** Status Report: Time for another one of these. :)
- DA Extra Caps -- I have the first 4 episodes capped and spent today fixing them. They look pretty good. Sorry to say they won't be any larger than the ones I did of Jensen, but the quality is still there, which I believe is the most important thing.
- Fan Fic -- My Crazy Muse keeps changing things. Bad! Bad Muse! Still haven't gotten to typing the story out either. Bah! Must. Get. Busy.
- Meta: Dean In DALDOM -- I'm going to get this done. I will. *iz determined*
- SPN Revealed S2 -- Now that the first post is up it's crunch time. I got the caps fixed for CSPWDT, but there's still caps through CB to fix. Not as much of a buffer there as I would like. Hopefully on Saturday I can take care of more.
- Just 'Cause Themes -- Since everyone's loving this week's theme of the boys with weapons AND since I have a surplus of caps for it...we'll be having a second week after Sunday's usual Impala cap.
- SPN Filming Locations & Maps -- One of my secret Vancouver spies let me in on some filming locations from a couple of weeks ago. *squee* I'll be posting about this over the weekend. :D

*** A Rant & Fandom Wank Again??? I'm a huge fan of Repro Images aka SPN Media, but I'm very much against making us login simply to get to the images! What was wrong with making them easily accessible like they were? What benefit is there for essentially "locking them up"? I have so many logins now that I keep them all written down in a little book. It's ridiculous! I do not want to sign up for yet another site, which was always open before. It's not right and it's not fair to the fandom. In other news, I apparently missed out on the latest bout of fandom wank this morning. Have no idea how I missed it, as I'm usually near ground zero on these things. Ah well...ignorance is bliss, right?

*** Some authors shouldn't be allowed to write: And Keith DeCandido is on my list of ones who shouldn't....at least as far as SPN goes. His latest SPN novel, "Bone Key", came out last week. Did I read it? Nope. Didn't even buy it....and don't intend to. The man learned nothing and took nothing from the outcry and advice from the fandom over his first novel, "Nevermore". He's up to the same old tricks: getting the boys's eye color wrong, using silly nicknames, and putting more description into minor characters than he does to any other part of the story. You can read more about it in ficwriter1966's excellent review. It's pathetic and a crime that we have to put up with this crap. As much as I want to support the show, I can't keep supporting a writer who cares so little about not only the show he claims to "love", but for the fans who are intelligent enough to know good writing when they see it. IMO, DeCandido's writing is not it.

*** Party Time! I'll be gone on Sunday to attend the Wrap Party for the film production I worked on last month. It'll be a cool chance to catch up with people from the cast & crew and eat some yummy food. Yay! Good times! :D
