"The Christmas Cottage" Caps & Review
Jan. 6th, 2009 08:27 pmAfter wanting to watch this movie before Christmas (and not having the time), I finally got to view Jared's holiday film a few days ago.
I made a few caps to share and will also include my thoughts about this enjoyable holiday film.

I have to say this is one of the better Christmas movies I've seen. Sure, it's full of that sappy goodness one would expect from this kind of movie, but while parts of the film are sad, in the end you're left with a warm, happy glow. Jared does a great job and while at first I found his voice-overs a little distracting, I eventually got used to them. And damn, but he made me cry! You thought he teared up a lot on SPN? That's nothing compared to this. First of all, he's near tears in a lot of scenes and then when he does let loose with the water-works, he really breaks your heart.
Everyone else in the cast is equally excellent and I really enjoyed seeing some old familiar faces from the past that I haven't seen in years. The characters are all interesting and likeable and I found myself settling into the small town right away. I really hope to be able to buy my own copy on DVD. This is a nice little movie. :)
Okay, on to the goodies!
I went through my downloaded copy of the film and grabbed some random caps. And since this copy is a *coughbootlegcopycough* it has the Sony logo and some text across the bottom. So I had to crop most of that off of all the caps, so they would look at least half way decent. All that remains is the main part of the Sony logo, but it's not too distracting.
The quality of the caps is so-so, but you've got to expect that from a downloaded file.
There's no zipped folder of these because I saved them directly into Photobucket after fixing each cap in Picnik, so you'll have to save each cap individually.
Or, since I'm posting these at their full size, you can save the entire page (in FireFox go to File> Save Page As..) and get them all together that way. :)
