At last I'm getting to my reports about the Con. Now that most of the photos are posted it's time to sit back and try and recall everything that happened during that wonderful weekend in Vancouver. I'm sure I'll forget a bunch of things, but I'll try my best! It was my first Con experience, so a lot of it is a complete blur!

Originally, I only bought Photo-Ops with Misha, Jim, Jensen, Jared, & the J&J Sandwich. But you find when you're at a convention that the lure of the other goodies are too good to ignore. You're there, you've come this far, why not splurge a little bit more? After all, you might not get another chance.

The Ladies of Supernatural:
So after seeing Alona, Julie, and Traci on stage, having so much fun, I knew I wanted to get a photo-op with them. I also figured this would be my first photo-op ever, so what could be easier than one with these 3 sweet gals? As with all the photo-op lines, it started long and slow, but once they started it moved along well. The good part was this gave everyone a chance to check hair and makeup.

I didn't keep track of how long I was in line, but soon I was up to the door. It was relatively dark inside, except for the daylight coming in through the windows. I got into the room, following the line as it went around the wall. There were tables around the inner circle where you were to put your bags, purses, etc. and a volunteer was there to watch the stuff. There was music blaring from the photographer, Chris's, iPod. It was fun seeing the fans interact with the gals, sometimes doing crazy poses.

Soon it was my turn and I stepped in-between Julie and Traci (where everyone seemed to be going). Traci said something about liking my turquoise shirt *glee*, we posed for the shot, I thanked them and went on my way. It was a fun, no-pressure photo-op in my opinion and it felt good to get that first one under my belt and out of the way. :)

Misha Collins:
On Saturday I only had a photo-op with Misha....as did hundreds of others. I kinda wish now that I'd sprung for a Photo with Jake Abel, 'cause he was such a sweetheart, but there really wasn't time that day. *shrugs*

Anyway, Misha's Photo-Op was right after his panel and as per Creation's instructions....nobody ran up to them. Heh. There was a monstrous line, however. It ran down one hall, around the corner and halfway down that hallway and then double-backed on the other side. But as with the other lines, once they got started we kept moving forward frequently.

I really don't remember much about Misha's photo. Don't even have any cool stories about the people ahead of me. Meh. And sadly, I didn't really say much to him except "Hi" and "Thank you". I'm so lame!

Jensen Ackles:
Onto Sunday and the big day of the weekend! Whoo! :D
I freaked out a bit when I realized my first photo-op of the day would be with Jensen. OMG! Why did he have to be first? Luckily, it was right after the Breakfast and was on that floor, so there wasn't a big rush because the bunch of us just walked out into the hall and lined up against the wall. So there was some waiting time, but that gave me a chance to primp and redo makeup. Then it was a matter of time and wondering if I was ready for all this. :P

By the time I got to the room, the music could easily be heard. I wish I remember what songs were playing, but I'm pretty sure it was all Classic Rock for the guys that Sunday. Once I put my bag down on the table my eyes were locked on Jensen. I was surprised by how slender he is! His waist is so slim, along with his legs. Next I noticed how jovial he was. He was so relaxed, smiling, and having a great time. In between photos he was jiving a little to the music. So cute!

A few members of the SPN crew stepped in and Cliff, their bodyguard, was there, too. Jensen stopped a moment to talk to the crew guys, none of whom I recognized, and then got back to the photos. This one gal had these big, plastic water bazookas that she wanted used in her photo. So she handed him one and had one for herself. They posed for one or two pics, I think. He was quite captivated, trying it out and when they were done he asked if he could keep it and she said yes. It was then that Jensen turned to Cliff with the water gun, aimed it at him and said, "Oh, tomorrow's gonna be a fun day on set!" And then he gave that terrific laugh. Heehee! :D

Some people asked for hugs for the photo, but I knew I'd never be brave enough to do that. I didn't know what to do, really. I was trying to keep my nerves under control. It's frightening how little time you have to prepare once you get in that room and when you're watching what the people ahead of you are doing, it's even faster.

So....my turn. OMG! I really had nothing planned, but somehow I'd looked down and noticed his boots. They were the ones he wears on the show all the time. I'd know them anywhere! I approached him and exclaimed, "You're wearing the shoes, the Dean boots!" Jensen looked down at them, as if he'd forgotten what pair he'd put on that morning. By this time, I was already next to him and he had his arm around me! *squee* Then he said, "Nah, those are Jensen boots." *flails* Chris snapped the photo and despite my inner flailing, I made a point to look right up into his face to thank him. *guh* Those eyes!!!!!! That face!!!!! So amazing! He said....something (probably "you're welcome", can't remember 'cause my brain melted) and smiled! *dies* I grabbed my bag and left the room, feeling so very different then I had before I entered the room. Oh, my....it really is like staring into the sun. So many of us were saying that to one another afterwards. *flails*

You have no idea how powerful the JensenEffect is until you get hit with it in-person. Goodness! It's overwhelming.

Of course, I thought I handled it all oh, so well. I thought I was calm. I wasn't. Pbbbbt. :P

Out in the hallway, i ran into [livejournal.com profile] mrsr58 and totally went all fangirl flaily! At one point I literally jumped up and down with excitement! I couldn't contain it anymore! I had touched Jensen! I had looked into his face! I had talked with him!!!!! OMG. So we squeed and flailed and had a total fangirl moment together and I'm so glad she was there! *hugs* :D

Anyway, here's the proof! And I've gotta say, I really was surprised by how tall he is. *flails* So nice to meet guys taller than me. :D I was also thrilled that I got the full smile. He has such a nice smile! ♥

Jensen & Jared:
The boys!!!!
Again, people were getting hugs from them either for the photo or afterwards. I was soooo tempted. They both seemed okay with it all and again they appeared to be having a lot of fun. There were oodles of smiles and laughter from Jensen & Jared. Got to see some really fun photo-ops once I got into the room. It was fun to see all the different kinds of poses people came up with and the boys were totally game for all of them.

By the time it was my turn, I totally chickened out of the hugs. I walked up, Jared (who was closest to me when I approached) gave me a "Hi, how're you doing?" and I said "Hi" to him and looked at Jensen as I got between them (OMG!) and said, "Hello, again!". Somehow I still remember how it felt to be standing in-between the two of them. *flails* Oh, and I remember being almost dumb-struck at how tall Jared really is! I knew he'd be taller than me, but still! Whoah.

Anyway, the photo was taken, and then I HAD to do something. I knew I'd see Jared again, but this was my last interaction w/Jensen. So, avoiding the whole hug debacle, I turned to him and asked to shake his hand, which he promptly obliged! OMG! I shook Jensen's hand!!!!!!! I love his hands. *flails* His handshake was great! Nice and firm, but not too much...and believe me, I've shaken hands with guys and they've been either limp or so strong I thought my hand was going to break! His was perfect!!!!! I can still remember what it felt like. *dreamy sigh* And yes, I thanked them, getting great smiles and "you're welcome" in return. :)

I honestly don't recall where my hands were, but you can see my hand wrapped around Jensen's torso. *squee* Just knowing that.....*sigh* And look! Jared's hand is on my shoulder!!!! :D

Jared Padalecki:
I recall seeing Jared bend low for some of the shorter gals getting photos. Hee! He's really tall! And that's saying something, considering I'm almost 6 feet tall myself. I was also in the room, when he got one of those remarks from people telling him he wasn't as tall as they thought he'd be. :P I also heard one gal tell him he was cheating by wearing cowboy boots! LOL! :D

Once it was my turn, I stepped up, exchanged "Hi's" with him, internally marveled at how built he is *flails* and that was about it. My brain was mush at this point, what can I say? But I did look back after I thanked him and was walking away and he said....something (can't remember - LOL!) and then he smiled and winked at me!!!!! *flails & dies* That did it. That put me on cloud nine! What a sweet guy! :D

Richard Speight, Jr:
I didn't originally purchase a photo-op with Richard, but I was going to see his panel anyway, so I figured, why not? The whole trial to get the ticket (and one for his autograph) is quite a story and I'll save it for my full report later. Needless to say, by the time I got in the room, I was beat!

The gal in line ahead of me was the same way, and once Richard heard her story of how she'd run up the escalators to get there, he gave her a second to catch her breath! Luckily, I wasn't as out of breath as she was. But after their photo, he urged her to relax. I'm surprised at how tall he is. Somehow on the show he seems kinda short, but as you can see, he's just about at my level. He was a real nice guy and when I told him I had rushed to get to the photo-op room in time, too he told me to "rest and relax now". :D

Jim Beaver:
Ah, Jim!
Okay, honestly, I was surprised how long the line was for Jim's Photo-op. Thrilled, of course, but amazed as well. He really is a fan favorite, as much as the boys are. Maybe I recall because it was the last photo-op, but I have a clear memory of the music playing in the room this time. Lots of CCR music! Heh. It was fun.

When I got up there we exchanged greetings and he put his arm around me. Then he asked, "How're you doing?" I said "Good!" and he said, "Then why aren't you smiling?" Hee! I told him, "I'm smiling!" We posed for the pic and then he gripped my shoulder and said, "I'm just jokin' with ya!" Heehee! What a guy! So that's why I'm kinda laughing in the photo. *g*

So there you have it! I loved my photo-ops...every one of them. I wish I'd been a little braver, but considering this was my first convention, I kinda figured I'd be more conservative and go with simple photos. I'm hoping that next time I'll be a little more out-going and maybe put a little more thought into what I want to do.

By far the best parts were my moments with Jensen. I still can't believe I went all geeky over his boots, but considering how often I've seen them (while capping episodes and stuff) I probably know them as well as he does. LOL! Besides, it gave me a few more seconds with him I wouldn't have normally had, so I'm happy it went the way it did.

And the handshake, well....*flails* Those of you on my Flist know how I feel about Jensen's hands. Sure, asking for a handshake seems like a crazy thing to do. Even my mom was like, "A handshake????" LOL! But it was special to me, still is. I'm glad I went for it. I know someone who commented on one of my posts months ago and suggested I ask for his handshake at the Con....well, I did it! :D

Hope you enjoyed all the fangirly flailings and the pics.
