Can you tell me....
Jan. 11th, 2010 04:12 pm♦ What's the big hoopla over this Big Bang thing? I don't even really understand what it is besides being a sign up for writing fanfic? Is it for slash only? I feel like I missed a memo somewhere. Everyone's posting about signing up for this thing, squeeing and flailing like something spectacular has happened. I'm just not getting it...someone wanna explain it to me?
♦ Why do people feel the need to impersonate celebrities on Twitter? Are they really that bored that they have nothing better to occupy their time? Are they so desperate for attention that they have to pretend to be someone famous for people to notice them?
I completely defriended and cut all ties to a mutual friend because I found out she is running a fake Jensen Twitter account. She deceived hundreds of people (and quite well, I might add). She's now admitted the account is for roleplaying and has changed the text in the bio, but it doesn't excuse what she did. I can't condone this kind of behavior, so I cut her off. Kinda says something that she hasn't even noticed or tried to contact me about it...and from a gal who practically begged me to friend her back. I should've known something was up. Those types of friendings always end badly for me. *sigh*
♦ Why do some icon makers put super tiny text on their icons? One would think the purpose of text is so people can read it, but this stuff is so small, it's impossible to read. Is there some unwritten rule in the icon-making tome that I missed somewhere? "Must make text so microscopic as to render it totally illegible to the human eye." Is it to pass on some secret message that only certain people can read? Btw, I'm not trying to single out anyone here, I'm just trying to understand why people do this.
Okay, I think that about covers it for now. It's a little ranty, I know, but I hope someone can provide answers.
