raloriaSpent most of Sunday evening working on a capping problem. The problem is this...I have 2 systems (Mac & PC), different monitors for those systems, VLC player on both (but they're different versions somehow), and different settings for image control on both media players. Plus, I've discovered that capping from the DVDs is easier on the PC. There's more control somehow. So I'm trying to switch to capping from the DVDs on the PC and using the Mac for the HD downloads (for Seasons 4 & 5).
After a lot of test capping on the PC and then transferring them to the Mac to see how they looked there....I believe I've finally got the settings the way they need to be for the VLC player on the PC. I capped 2x04 and 3x03 and they look good on both machines. I already have some episodes from Seasons 2 & 3 done on the Mac, but they look good, so I'll keep those.
Anyway, that's the news on my cappingmisadventures. :)
I also have a poll for you today. For Sunday's Just 'Cause cap I tried a new way of posting based on my previous poll which showed that while most of you were happy with the caps at the 700 pixel width, some of you also wanted them larger. So the cap from yesterday is in essence a large thumbnail. The image you see in the post is 700 pixels wide, but if you click on it you're taken to the actual cap at 1024 pixels wide.
I got some good responses yesterday, but I know not everyone is online over the weekends so I thought I'd give you another poll to tell me what you think of it.

Btw, not every cap will be that 1024 size in width. There will be others (such as from the DVDs) that will only be 853 wide in their original form. I have some caps up to 1280, but I doubt I'll post any at that size. If you want them that big, that's what my cap downloads are for. ;) Oh, and of course any caps that I've already fixed for posting as a Just 'Cause cap will be only in the smaller size.
