No more JensenHappiness
Apr. 4th, 2010 03:53 pmNow that the fun, happy posting is over, it's time to get to the sadder, more serious stuff.
I'm closing my comm,
jensenhappiness on Wednesday (April 7th).
I'll make a post like this to the comm itself early tomorrow and then the comm will be gone sometime Wednesday. This way if anyone wants to save anything, have a last look or something, they have time.
I had big hopes for the comm a year ago, but as the months went by, I found I couldn't handle it all on my own. There has also been a problem in getting people involved. I wanted to try some ideas: challenges, discussions and such, but didn't have any ideas on how to go about it. So I brought in
cowboyangel as my co-mod and she brought in a lot of great ideas and started implementing them. I can't thank her enough for her help the past few months.
Despite our best efforts, in my eyes anyway, the comm is failing. The challenges have drawn no takers and the discussions have gotten lukewarm interest at best. And let's face it, there are plenty of other LJ comms and websites out there about Jensen. One less will not be missed.
Time to put this little failed experiment behind me. I'll think of it as a nice idea that simply didn't work. :(
