My second SPN picspam of the week is for Home, as the Winchester brothers return for the first time to their childhood home in Lawrence. I found my filmmaking brain taking over on the commentary for the caps this time. I sort of ended up analyzing the camera angles and the framing, so I hope you all bear with me. :)

This picspam features 52 caps, covering the entire first scene in the motel room as Sam tells Dean they need to go home to Lawrence because of his concern for the family that now lives there. So lots of earnest Sam and woobie Dean! The caps for the first picspam of Home can be found HERE.

What a stunning extreme closeup! It's a great way to capture Sam's shock as he emerges from his vision. As a Dean!Girl I wish there was a little more light in the second cap, so we could see his sleeping form. Ah, well... I particularly like the last cap in this row, of Sam with his head turned.

A nice bit of Sammy!Hand!Porn in the second cap. The great love affair of Dean and his coffee in the third cap. A barefoot Sam on a bed...I'm sure this is fulfilling some fangirl fantasies. ;)

Poor Dean tries to get Sam's attention on a future case. A nice rack focus between the 3rd and 4th caps. Don't let it be said that I never do anything for all you Sam!Girls...a gratuitous butt shot capped just for you!

Look at this...you even get arm!porn...along with more hand!porn! Sam's found the connection to his vision...they have to go home.

Look at the interesting framing of the second cap in this row, with Sam's form towering over Dean. I'll go into this more with the caps below. Two nice caps of the boys at the end of this row, as Sam pleads his case to Dean.

Nice profile shot of Dean as he looks at the old family photo. Notice in the 3rd cap how Dean is framed by Sam? You'll see that several times in this scene...where Dean is dwarfed in the frame by Sam. Shows Sam's dominance in the scene. His persistence at wanting to help the family in his vision is going to win out over Dean's fears of returning to their old home.

Dean's looking for a reason behind Sam's unrelenting need to return home. Sam reveals that he's been having visions that come true. Again...with the last cap in the row, Sam's body dominates the frame.

It's so rare to get a cap of Jared with his eyes closed, so this is a very unique shot. It's interesting how Sam continues to control most of this scene...at least until the end. He's the driving force here, wanting Dean to trust him enough to pursue what he's seen in his vision.

With the first cap we continue to see that Sam is still the overshadowing force in the scene. Dean, meanwhile, is still doubting, questioning.

You know how much I love shots when Dean has his head down. Now the scene takes a turn and the decision is up to Dean decide if he can overcome his fear. Dean becomes the dominate character, standing as Sam sits on the bed.

And finally, in this row we get some lovely closeups of Dean as he struggles with his emotions from the past. Dean's opening up here, sharing his fears and apprehension with Sam for the first time.

This row of caps is a beautiful representation of some of the best closeups of Jensen. All of Dean's fears are coming to the surface, the haunted look in his eyes speaking more than his words. He turns his head away and we get a gorgeous profile shot.

Still nice even with his head tilted down. Sam finally stands up, making his final plea that they need to check this out just to be sure. Dean, still reluctant, finally concedes with a final look.
