In Part Five: Max tells Alec about how Ben died by her hand and she had to leave him in the woods for Lydecker to find. Alec leaves her apartment in the morning with a better understanding of her attitude towards him. He then goes to stay at Joshua's place where he finds out about Josh's new friend, Annie.

In Part Six: Alec and Joshua enjoy their TV until they see a report about a transgenic getting killed by the police. Then Alec helps Joshua say a tearful goodbye to Annie and seeks Max's wisdom atop the Space Needle.

It just seems like everything's been so quiet on LJ for the past 24 hours. There must be a bunch of people getting extra sleep so they can stay up for the big midnight book release.

*Sigh* I don't have anything against Harry Potter (the books or the films). It's just not my thing. I never could get interested in them in any way.
