I see that even without college I'm finding the weekends go by too quickly. Saturday just flew by! Must be the fact that Christmas is now only 9 days away!!! Eeeep! With school I didn't have time to do anything and now I've only got a week! Yikes!

So...a lot has been happening and it's time for another status report.

I'm just gonna cut to the chase and list what will hopefully be coming up.

*** First Impressions post for 3.08 with b&w fanart of Dean and Sam.
*** Review w/caps of 3.06 Red Sky In The Morning
*** Review w/caps of 3.07 Fresh Blood
*** Review w/caps of 3.08 A Very Supernatural Christmas
*** A poll about my future screencap picspams Edit: This up now...go & vote! :)
*** Review of the novel "Witch's Canyon"
*** More Songs Of The Season posts

That's in addition to the birthday picspams and getting back to your replies, of course. :)

There's other things too, but these items are the most pressing right now and the others will come in January.

Hope everyone's weekend is going well. *hugs flist* :D

Those of you who have been on my flist for a while now know that I'm currently on a hiatus from my normal twice a week SPN picspams. Now that my college classes are over I can start getting ready to resume them once again.

However, I've been rethinking my approach to the picspams. Before, when I was on dial up it made things easier to just have picspams that featured a small number of caps. They maybe had 20-50 (occassionally more) caps and covered one or two scenes. Now that I have faster internet, I'd like to post more caps. It will also speed up the picspams and reduce the number of posts for me.

To make it a little clearer, here's what was happening before....

Past Picspams:
- Episodes from S1 & S2 done in alphabetical order
- Small picspams covering only one or two scenes at a time
- Picspams post every Tuesday & Thursday

And what will be happening in the future picsams...

Future Picspams:
- Episode caps posted in broadcast order
- All caps from an episode posted at once
- Picspams post every Tuesday & Thursday (this will remain the same)

So here's what the poll is about...Most of the episodes have anywhere from 300 to 1,300 caps. I can give them all to you or just the best ones. I'm leaving it up to you! :)

[Poll #1106936]

If you have any other suggestions, questions, or whatever, don't hesitate to ask or speak up. Thanks! :D

Lots of people have done this meme already, but since I found myself searching through my archive anyway....

Take the first sentence (or 2) from the first post of each month of 2007. That's your year in review.

Check out my year in review... )

Jeez, folks...a whole week has gone by since I posted one of these. I'm sorry about that. Darned college finals! Because I missed a whole week, I'm gonna double up on the music this week and give you 4 songs per post!!!

I'm going to try to post one or two seasonal/holiday songs a day. These will come from either my own CD collection or my online findings. I'll try my best to make a post each day and we'll see how many I can get done by Christmas day. These songs will run the gamut: from traditional to modern takes on old classics. There will be country, pop, jazz, oldies, big band, new age, comedy....anything and everything. And don't think that if you don't celebrate Christmas that there won't be anything for you. Not all of the offerings will be specific to Christmas. Some will be just about winter. They will all be favorites of mine and I'll give you some info. and why it's my fave with each song. Happy Listening!

Note: I'm using SendSpace for all of these downloads. Since I'm on dialup, it was just a logical choice to choose one host. If you have any trouble getting a song and would like me to use MegaUpload instead, just let me know and I'll try to get it up for you there.

I will also have each of these posts available to all for one week and then will Friends lock them.

Day 12 --

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas -- By Tony Bennett from "The Best of Christmas, Volume 3".

I don't think any other holiday can stir up more nostalgia than Christmas. This song is a nice mix of melancholy and sadness along with hopefulness.

Little Saint Nick -- By The Beach Boys from "The Best Of Christmas, Volume 2".

Now for a little fun with the Beach Boys as they describe a very California version of jolly old Saint Nicholas.

Yes, Virginia There Is A Santa Claus -- By Jose Ferrer from an unknown online source.

This isn't a song, but a wonderful piece of Christmas history. Check out these links to read the letter and learn more: Read the Letter at Newseum & On Wiki-pedia.

Jingle Bells -- By Roy Rogers from an unknown online source.

If you've seen the film "Sleepless In Seattle", this is the version of Jingle Bells that Meg Ryan's character hears on the radio and sings along with on her car ride to Christmas dinner. "Harses, harses, harses..."

*** I'd love a comment if you're downloading any of the songs, thanks! ***
