VanCon 2018: Canon Powershot Pics - Day 1: Jason & Rob

Time to start posting about my trip to VanCon in October (finally!). Sorry it's taken me so long. So many reasons, but I want to get these posts done before I totally forget what happened (if I haven't already). I'll try to watch videos of some of the panels to help pepper these posts with some memories.

These were taken with my smaller Canon camera and are not the greatest quality. My normal practice is to take a few shots with this camera at the beginning of each panel and then switch to my bigger Canon camera for the rest. I rarely do any editing on these, they're simply presented "as is". Hopefully, you'll still find these pics enjoyable despite the light/contrast or blurriness issues. :)

Most of Jason's panel was shown in the videos I posted all last week, but I did manage to take a few photos. Jason's such a nice, easy-going guy with such a dry sense of humor! Lots of talk about the then up-coming Seattle Marathon. He described his association with SPN as being "Supernatural adjacent". When the subject of acting in an episode of the show was brought up, Jason responded with, "If I was singing Meghan Trainor in a bar, Dean would probably shoot me." LOL But he'd love to be on the show, in any way possible.

VanCon 2018 Videos: Karaoke "Livin' On A Prayer" & "Africa"

I'll be honest: this was the most disappointing Friday Night Karaoke I'd ever been to.

It wasn't for a lack of enthusiasm or energy from the crowd, but there was hardly any star power on the stage! All we had was Matt, Briana, and Kim and for the last hour it was only Matt! Obviously, Rich wasn't there due to directing, but where was Rob??? Where were the usual surprise guests or local actors that would stop in for a song or two? I was so excited when Kat Ramdeen appeared, but then she was gone just as fast.

It was mighty lackluster and by the end, I was almost sorry I even went and stood for those 2 hours. This karaoke was NOTHING like all the other ones I've attended at VanCon over the years. *sigh* It sounds like Rich isn't even going to do any Friday Night Karaoke at the cons next year, so that's sad, too.

JDM Raises 12th Man Flag!

Look who got to raise the 12th Man flag before the Seattle Seahawks vs SF 49ers game yesterday - Papa Winchester himself!!!! Been loving JDM's Tweets about the Seahawks games lately. He's such a big fan! Hopefully we're headed to the playoffs again! GoHawks!

• Sunday was okay. Did a lot of napping, possibly because of the ongoing pain from my fall a week ago. Sadly, did not get the Xmas tree up as planned. Hopefully it'll happen on Monday night.
