I know I keep posting SPN Con Panel videos, but gosh I miss the cons! Even though I couldn't go to them anymore even if Covid-19 hadn't happened, I miss our special times with the SPN cast. I hadn't seen the clips of Ruth, Alaina, and Brianna before! And of course, the resume-off w/Misha & Jensen never gets old! :D

We wrap up SNS in true VanCon style: with a big group of the SPN crew coming on stage to join in on the fun. You'll also see DJ Qualls & Alexander Calvert (who we'd actually see - many of us for the 1st time - the next day at his panel). Hope you've enjoyed the SNS videos. There's one more post to go!

You've gotta have a Backstreet Boys song at Karaoke, it's almost a requirement at this point. But Kim & Briana doing an interpretive dance to it? That's new! :) Then Matt returns to take over the last half of Karaoke alone.
Matt went off to take photos w/fans, so Briana & Kim joined the fans on stage to sing.

Time to start posting about my trip to VanCon in October (finally!). Sorry it's taken me so long. So many reasons, but I want to get these posts done before I totally forget what happened (if I haven't already). I'll try to watch videos of some of the panels to help pepper these posts with some memories.
These were taken with my smaller Canon camera and are not the greatest quality. My normal practice is to take a few shots with this camera at the beginning of each panel and then switch to my bigger Canon camera for the rest. I rarely do any editing on these, they're simply presented "as is". Hopefully, you'll still find these pics enjoyable despite the light/contrast or blurriness issues. :)
Such a great panel with Kim & Briana! You know, we're pretty lucky in the SPN Family. A lot of actors are closed-off and you never learn much about them, but our actors, especially these women...they totally open up to us about themselves and their lives, their trials and tribulations, their inner struggles. It's pretty amazing, along with fun and educational. They totally explained that Wayward Sisters will NOT be a TV series. It's over. Everyone's moved on. It's the business. Yes, the idea and the movement will charge on, but a TV show? Nada. OMG and Briana answering a Star Trek: Voyager question as Kim...so hilarious!!! Oh, and to the morons on SM who insist that these 2 ladies hate and talk badly about Jensen & Jared? I quote from Kim: "These two guys are consummate, heroic professionals." They then went on to describe how the boys are "playful" when they prank fellow actors on set. Briana: "They really are not going to pull pranks on people they don't know because they want to make sure you would be comfortable with it. They pull pranks on people that they know are going to be comfortable with it. And they prefer to pull pranks on people who are going to try and pull pranks back. 'Cause then it's like, 'Oh, it's on! Ok, it's on!'. Because they really are just children, they just wanna play." :)

A couple more Friday Night Karaoke videos.
I'll be honest: this was the most disappointing Friday Night Karaoke I'd ever been to.
It wasn't for a lack of enthusiasm or energy from the crowd, but there was hardly any star power on the stage! All we had was Matt, Briana, and Kim and for the last hour it was only Matt! Obviously, Rich wasn't there due to directing, but where was Rob??? Where were the usual surprise guests or local actors that would stop in for a song or two? I was so excited when Kat Ramdeen appeared, but then she was gone just as fast.
It was mighty lackluster and by the end, I was almost sorry I even went and stood for those 2 hours. This karaoke was NOTHING like all the other ones I've attended at VanCon over the years. *sigh* It sounds like Rich isn't even going to do any Friday Night Karaoke at the cons next year, so that's sad, too.

The 2 final songs and videos from the Saturday Night Special!
I love the song "Amazing". Rob first sang this for us at last year's SNS and it's just as beautiful as ever. Then everyone gets on stage, including a lot of the SPN to join in on the kazoo solos for "Medicated".

Two powerhouse ladies singing right here! Love Ruth's version of "Bang Bang" with the flamenco feel and dance! Then we have the amazing Briana singing with Rob and the band.
Here's the last 2 Karaoke videos.
Our last surprise guest was Osric Chau!!! He didn't sing a song though...no, he had a song sung to him! Btw, if you watch the first video you'll notice some major camera shake and black screen in the middle. Well, that's because Jason Manns started going though Osric's backpack and pulled out a pair of grey underwear. Which he then rolled up and tossed into the crowd - and right at me! Amazingly, I caught them with my left hand (I was holding my camera in the right hand). I didn't even think about it. It was just a gut reaction to reach out and catch them. I quickly looked around to see if anyone wanted to take the garment off my hands and a gal next to me eagerly took them. But then almost immediately, a gal approached us (I'm assuming she was a Creation volunteer) and took the underwear away. So yeah, I caught the underwear....hope they were clean. LOL
And of course, you can't have Karaoke without singing the show's unofficial theme song at the end. Seemed a little odd that they didn't invite the Creation volunteers onto the stage as they usually do. Maybe because they're paid now? Anyway, singing that song with the cast and fellow fans is always such a magical moment. :D
