With Conolulu going on this weekend, it makes me nostalgic for my own con experiences. Pulled this photo from the Gold Panel of this year's VanCon. It's funny how I didn't even notice how sweaty Jared was until I was looking through my photos.

VanCon 2017: Misc Files - Deas Island
Oct. 24th, 2017 06:27 amAfter the con in August, there's always a few days of Location Hunting and on our last day I was determined to make a trek to Deas Island to see Burrvilla House. It's been used 3 times by Supernatural.
Beyond the beautiful house, built in 1906, there's also a small wooden tower just across the way. I climbed to the top to get the nice view of the Fraser River, Richmond, and then Burnaby & New Westminster in the distance.
Btw, the Burrvilla House's attic is home to thousands of bats!!! :P

If you aren't familiar with the con videos of Sherry Schuderer on youtube, you are missing out. They have great sound quality and are sharp, with lots of close-ups! I simply HAD to cap her super video of Jensen singing "Whipping Post" from this year's VanCon. A Black & White Cap Set of the video will be posted soon!

This is my last video of the con. :(
Sorry about the blurry beginning, but it clears up real fast and in time for the stage jump. *glees* Btw, the boys ran up onto the stage from the back of the room (or at least the doors on the side). I see they did it again at PittCon, too - but they did it here at VanCon first!

Sep. 16th, 2017 04:52 amThrough pure luck alone, I was able to catch this photo of Jared exiting the stage, giving us a fist-pump, and showing off his red underwear at the same time. You're welcome, fandom. ;)

This is the only opening-of-the-day video I have from this con and I'm sad I don't have the other ones from Friday and Saturday. Especially Saturday's because Rich did a whole monologue about the fandom and it was so great! I'll have to see if someone else has it out there on youtube.
Anyway, this is in 2 parts because it was just a bit too long to upload to youtube. Rob and the band kick things off with my favorite Doobie Brothers song, "Long Train Running" and then we have Rich going into his song "Rob Loves Bottoms"! I mean the reason the video is shaking is because I was laughing so much! LOL XD
Richard: "Let me tell you something, if you're here to see Jared and Jensen and you don't love their bottoms my friend you're dead."
Oh! And according to Rich the boys don't fart (oh, yeah? history proves Jared does!) but instead have "mystical butterflies that come out of their anus and take their smell far, far away!" Yes, the boys are..."sunshine wearing flannel". I love that description...so true! :D
Richard: "You will be so overwhelmed that you will overspend. You will engage in a practice we call fiscal irresponsibility and there's not a damned thing anybody can do to stop you. Not a damned thing. Nope. I can warn you all day long, but you will just look at me and say, 'Old man...what do you know? I need another 7 foot face of Jared Padalecki in my room. You can almost see wall. I need to cover it up with vinyl Misha.'"

Jensen SNS VanCon 2017: Flash Video Caps
Sep. 12th, 2017 02:51 amWhen I was capping my video of Jensen at the SNS, there were the odd flash shots from people's cameras. I couldn't include them with the other, darker caps because they would offset my image editor settings. So I collected the best of them and decided to post them as their own cap set. I've even included the one where he hugs Billy, despite it being blurry and looking other-worldly. After all, when you're that close to Jensen, you feel a little other-worldly anyway. lol

As you all know, it's always a special moment when Rob sings "She Waits". I was lucky enough to get a little candle light before the show and the gal next to me was nice enough to help me turn it on for the song. It was a beautiful sight seeing all the lights in the room! Then we turn a 180 and jam with Matt running around the room!
Jensen SNS VanCon 2017: B&W Video Caps

A day late, but here's the Black & White set of caps from my video of Jensen at VanCon 2017's Saturday Night Special.

These were taken with my smaller Canon camera and are not the greatest quality. My normal practice is to take a few shots with this camera at the beginning of each panel and then switch to my bigger Canon camera for the rest. I did no editing at all on these, they're simply presented "as is". Hopefully, you'll still find these pics enjoyable despite the light/contrast or blurriness issues. :)
We finished the con with a fun panel with Ruth (and a few friends). As always, she had more hotel goodies to pass out to people with questions. :P

Here are the caps I made from my video of Jensen's SNS appearance from this year's VanCon. Thankfully, the lighting was much better this year and not so super bright, so the caps are better quality. And yes, there will be a B&W set of caps posted tomorrow. ;)

We had a special treat with getting to hear Executive Producer/Director, Robert Singer, play harmonica & sing for us! Very cool! Then we have Jason Manns join Rob once again.

Ah, the Boys!!! Handsome and wonderful as ever with a panel full of fun stories and laughter. Again, I don't really remember much of the panel (except for the running gag of butt jokes/puns - that was pretty memorable!) but hey, I was busy capturing all the pretty. ;)

Yes, we've finally come to Jensen's song at the Saturday Night Special! Sorry for the wait, but I like to post everything in order.
Jensen just rocked this performance! Someone commented on youtube and described him "prowling" across the stage and he truly did. Loved him getting us all involved, going to both sides of the stage to wave to the fans, hugging Billy Moran (yep, Billy's been Jensenated - lol), drumming on the box, and totally enthralling everyone in the room!
