Came across this youtube video overnight and thought it'd be fun to share.

Never seen a Happy Planner layout for Supernatural before. Sadly, this gal doesn't even watch the show because she thinks it's too scary. Maybe it's just me, but SPN is one of the least scary things I've ever seen. LOL

Anyway, it's a cool layout if anyone's interested and a short, 8 minute video.

I just made this animated gif because I need it in my life. ;)

 photo TIH_NotifiedMD_zps2rdz0iyv.gif

I'll be making a formal posting of this gif (and in other sizes) next week. Stay tuned!

♦ Who knew you couldn't use Spotify in the Safari web browser??? WTH??? *fumes* I looked into why, but then my eyes glazed over because apparently there isn't any solution. Grrr! Well, that's annoying! Especially since I'm trying to use my Safari browser more now, because for some reason when I watch online videos too long in any other browser, my CPU heats up. WTH is with that??? *sigh*

♦ I uploaded the above animation to one of my old Photobucket accounts. Yes, still trying to decide what to do about them - which account to sign up for with payments again, now that they've got more reasonable plans. I wouldn't have even uploaded it to PB, but I can't get into my account at PhotoLand.io!!!! That's where I've been uploading and posting my gifs from. All of a sudden there's no way to sign in with Twitter, which is what I used. Gah!!!! I've contacted them about it, but who knows if I'll ever get a response. Well, speak of the devil....just got this email from them:

Hello,

We are having issues with the twitter API and are working on fixing it. Will update you once it's working again.

Thank you
Photoland Team

Well, I'll give them points for getting back to me so quickly. Sad that I can't get into my account there though. Serves me right for going the shortcut way into signing into a site. *sigh* So I guess I'll be using my PB accounts again for now...

Ok. Wow! The PhotoLand Support Team literally just got back to me, saying the problem is fixed. Sure enough, I was able to log in w/Twitter and upload the gifs. Yay! Very impressive support at PhotoLand!

♦ For my artsy & craftsy friends, I got quite the deal this past week at Hobby Lobby. A Marvy waterbrush marked down to $1.24, a set of Faber Castell 24 Watercolor Pencils marked down to $3.74 (from $14.99), and a set of 25 Stabilo colored pens marked down to $7.49 (from $29.99!). I've always been curious about the Stabilo pens because I've heard such good things about them (they are good!) but the price always turned me off. No more! These aren't the first great deals I've found at HL. A month or so ago I finally got a Gouache set of paints that was marked way down. I do love saving money on supplies!

♦ I found a great site for free book PDFs! Check out Ocean Of PDF! I've already got a few of them loaded on my phone for reading there. Such a great selection.

♦ Since SPN is finished for the summer, it's time to start in on updating the Locations List (LL) with Season 13 for [livejournal.com profile] spn_locations. Problem is...looking up addresses on Google Maps really eats up my internet data. *heavy sigh* I could really use some help from volunteers, but I've failed to use people in the past so I'm pretty sure it's a waste of time. People don't want to risk it. Of course, this time I KNOW what I would have volunteers help me with! :(

Late add-in Edit!!!! OMG Does anyone else play Candy Crush on their phone??? I've been stuck on a level before, but nothing like with Level 149! OMG!!!! I CANNOT GET THROUGH IT!!!!! I've lost track of how many times I've played that level. And I've had tons of help from the game, but alas....still stuck. Gah!

Last month I had grand plans to join in on this month's Inktober. Failed at it last year and I wanted to give it another go. Well, life had other ideas, as my first week of October was a very rough one. So much for plans.

Lately, I really haven't had the time or energy to do anything artistic. It's been making me feel a little antsy and tonight I decided enough was enough and I was going to do something no matter what or how simple.

So I grabbed some Mermaid Markers by Jane Davenport and drew simple squiggles and loops in one of my art journals. I really like the results. It's not overly complicated, it doesn't have any meaning, it's just colorful lines on paper and it only took me a few minutes to do. So maybe I haven't been able to participate in Inktober. Doing these pages made me feel better - just like that. :)

Got another little art journal flip-thru for you today. Thanks for all the lovely comments to my first one. :)

Again, this is just backgrounds. Nothing is finished here, but just about every page is painted on, except the back inside cover. I've got about 2 more art journals that are filled with backgrounds (and a few finished pages), so I'll probably be filming flip-thrus of them next.

I've got multiple art journals going right now and smaller ones are my new passion. This one is almost done as far as the backgrounds go, so there will no doubt be another video once I finally finish with the journal. But my problem is I love just making backgrounds, so don't hold your breath. lol

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video. :)

If you recall my earlier post about my craft shopping trip to Michaels, I was going to return a couple of items.

There were the Crayola Metallic pens with the 2 Gold pens and no Copper one and then the cheap-o paint pens where the yellow one leaked.

I will say returning things at the store was super easy, which is nice. Not long ago I had to return yet another cheap, leaking paint pen to Hobby Lobby and they kind of gave me the 3rd degree. As if I did something to make the pen leak. WTH?

Anyhoo...I showed the clerk the 2 Gold Crayola pens in the box and then I went back to grab a new box while she fiddled with the returns. I opened one box...2 Gold pens. I opened another....2 Gold pens!!! I then grabbed the remaining boxes and took them to the clerk and showed her and sure enough, every box of the pens had 2 Gold and no Copper color. Obviously there's been a screw up at Crayola's factory. So I got my money back on those, too.

I then bought a new set of paint pens by Sharpie. More expensive and with one less color than the other set that leaked, but I've never had a Sharpie pen leak. You get what you pay for sometimes. At least I used a 40% off coupon, so they weren't quite as expensive.

So I still need to go find another box of the Crayola pens. It'll be interesting to see if any other stores have the same 2 Gold pens problem.

Went to Michaels Saturday night for some usual craft/art/scrapbooking shopping. There were lots of sales signs about for 50% and 40% off of things. Lots of cool deals.

Now unless I'm shopping for something specific, I'm always looking at what's on sale and what's on clearance in a craft store. I only buy what I like or will use, but I'd much rather pay a lower price than full price. ;)

As I'm in the aisle of drawing paper here comes this Michaels employee...taking down all the sales signs! She was just ripping them off the shelves. I said something to her about it and she said it was because the sale ended tomorrow, assuring me that the sales prices would still show up at the register. Keep in mind they still had 2 hours until they closed. What was the point of removing the sales signs so early??? But before I could even comment on this, she was gone and onto the next aisle. Meanwhile, I was left wondering which paper pads were actually on sale.

What a stupid thing to do! Talk about discouraging someone from shopping. If I had wanted to buy anything more, I wouldn't have known if I was getting a deal or not! I wish now that I had spoken up. Would it really have killed them to wait until closing time to take the signs down?

And to top it all off...tonight I was checking out some of the purchases and find this:

- A Crayola set of metallic markers...with 2 gold colors in it and no copper. Lovely.
- A set of paint pens and the yellow one not only leaked paint all over my hand, but I can't even remove the cap! Grrrrr!

Both of these are going back to the store!

Granted, I shouldn't have bought the paint pens. They were a cheaper brand (Michaels brand, in fact) and I've already had this pen leakage problem happen with another cheap paint pen from Hobby Lobby. Shows that you can't skimp on some things. Guess I'll stick with Painter's Pens or the Sharpie oil-based pens from now on despite their high costs. *sigh*

Sorry about the ranting, but I had to get this off my chest. >:[

In an effort to do more art work as well as keeping myself awake after supper, I'm trying to work on my art journals/ICADs/Smashbooks/etc. for a couple of hours each evening starting at around 10 p.m.
