No SPN episode tonight, but I thought it would be appropriate to post this video today. And this was planned out before I knew about the video from the 200th episode party the other night.

Fans are joined by Jim Michaels, Gil McKinney, and Tahmoh Penikett. I will say this is only the 2nd time I've heard this song sung at a con and both times were sooooo emotional and just...WONDERFUL! There's nothing like being in a big room with hundreds of fans and you're all singing this song. It's truly special. :D

Unfortunately, I don't have a Daily Fanart post for you today. Instead, I bring you the first 2 videos of the VanCon 2014 Friday Night Karaoke! Yes, I'm finally getting them uploaded...two months later. :P

First up, "Eye Of The Tiger" by a fan with assistance by Richard, Rob, and Tahmoh. The second video is of the show's Producer, Jim Michaels singing "You Can't Always Get What You Want". Fun stuff!

Please forgive any blurriness (stupid camera!) and shakiness, because it's really hard to hold a camera up high with one hand for the length of a song.

Sadly, I missed a lot of this panel due to getting photo-ops done. Hope there's some video of it so I can see what I missed.

Finally starting to go through my photos and I'm starting with the Canon Powershot ones. This is my smaller camera and while it doesn't do as great a job as my big Canon camera does, considering I'm 3rd row, it doesn't do too bad either. Consider these pics as a little taste of what's to come. ;)

I'll be posting these in small batches, as I fix and upload them. They've all been resized by 50% to make them more manageable.

Am I happy Jensen's on Twitter at long last? Oh, hell yeah! I must say he's learning quickly (like I expected any less of him) and I love that he's already been tweeting some pics of himself over the weekend. Can't wait until he uses it when SPN resumes airing 'cause you KNOW he's gotta do that, right?

1. Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles joins Twitter. How did we get so lucky to be part of the Supernatural fandom? There was so much goodness that came out of last week’s #VanCon2014. Jensen singing a snippet of Warrant’s “Heaven;” the boys talking about their favorite iterations of Sam and Dean; and Jensen doing Christian Bale’s Batman voice — along with Jared’s reaction to it — were all awesome moments to behold (I wasn’t there. I had to watch it online). But the best news to come out of the convention had to be Jensen finally deciding to go all social media on us. Don’t get me wrong. I was glad he resisted for as long as he did. But once he joined the Twitter-verse, I realized I have no idea what I was thinking. It’s only been a week and he already seems to be getting used to the tweet life, don’t you guys think? –Tina What TV-related things made you happy recently?

Doing a little catchup here from my phone again...

Saturday was a full and very long day, which I anticipated. Six panels, twelve guests, and I had nine photo-ops. :p

Such a delight to finaly meet Tahmoh. He's so tall...and STRONG! He shook my hand and...ooph! Didn't see much of Gil and Osric's panel, but they seemed to have a good time despite their "odd pairing" for a panel. Richard, Matt, & Rob were funny as always - even acting out some crazy scene for us. Mark, true to form, didn't answer many questions. Then was the production panel w/ Jim, Kevin, Adam and Russ. It was very informative and good to hear them talk about what the process is to write an ep and a season. Finally, Misha unleased his mayhem, including turning Richard & Rob into his manservants.

Was very happy that Jim Michaels remembered me from last year. :)
The Caberat show was a lot of fun, with a nervous Osric showing off his new guitar & singing skills. Gil sang a couple of songs as well, one that I got on video. Also briefly went to the cocktail party and danced a bit.

Now for Sunday...

By now everyone knows that history was made during the Gold panel: Jensen has finally, officially joined Twitter! It was fun to track how fast his followers grew within an hour. The photo-ops went well well and I'm happy with all but my Jared pic. As for Jensen, all I can say is Aaaaarrrrmmmmsssssss! ;)

Alaina & Marks panel was quite fun, with Mark again avoiding answering most of the questions. Then it was the boys! Can't remember much of what happened but I got a lot of great photos and of course...JENSEN SINGING!!! Misha wrapped up the day withhis own quirky humor.

I. Am. Beat. But oh, what a great fun I had!
Must sleep now. Location hunting in the morning. ;)

It's been one hell of a week, but I'm finally here in my "2nd home", beautiful Vancouver, BC. :D

Got a late start, got slowed down in some traffic, then a 1/2 hour wait at the border, and arrived at the hotel far later than intended. I had to hurry to get to registration in time and then found out that they'd rescheduled it to begin even later...but luckily they started at around 7:30 instead of 8:00.

Was great to meet up again with old friends and a few new ones already. :)

Got my autograph and photo-op tickets all at once this time. Don't want to be rushing around buying tickets later on when panels are happening. ;)

I'll be taking photos with my smaller camera again (in addition to my regular Canon), to see if I can upload and share those quickly each night. Want to take lots of videos during karaoke, too.

Plus: Tickets for next year's con are only $10 more than last years.
Minus: They're moving the con to a different venue?!?!?! The friggin' Convention Centre??? WTH? This sucks out loud!!! >:[

Tomorrow is Rob Benedict, Lauren Tom, Osric Chau, Adam Rose, Dan Payne, and Chad Rook (yeah, I'm still trying to remember him, too), along with Gil McKinney!

Ok, I need to rest up, post today's Just 'Cause cap, and get some sleep.

Finally! Creation has added Executive Producer and writer, Adam Glass to the con. Looks like he'll be part of the Production Team panel on Saturday with Producer Jim Michaels, Location Manager Russ Hamilton, and 1st AD Kevin Parks. After chatting with most of these guys unofficially over the past several VanCons as they hung out in the hotel it'll be very nice to get a proper panel with them all. :)

Of course, now I'm kicking myself for not asking for a pic with Adam in the hotel lobby last year. Now I'll have to pay $40 for the privilege. :p
