Less than a month until VanCon and there's a lot going on. Here's where various projects & such stand right now.

:: spn_ontheset → Temporarily on hiatus until August 1st so I can have a little breather and hopefully download some more BTS pics to post.

:: SPN Revealed Season 2 → On hold until after VanCon.

:: SPN Season 7 Caps → There's only 2 episodes left to post, but again...after VanCon.

:: SPN Season 8 Caps → Plan on continuing with the standard (1280x720) sized caps, picking up from where I left off at 8x07. Also want to at least highlight cap the episodes in the larger size. Again, after VanCon.

:: SPN Beginnings & Endings → Hoping to keep this up on a twice a week basis up to VanCon.

:: New Icons → I want to make a few more from some Comic Con pics and then I'll be posting them. ;)

:: Hi-Res caps of J2 Nerd HQ Panel at Comic Con → I'm afraid this is going to be one of those things pushed back to post-VanCon. If I had more time, I'd work on them, but the Locations List has to come first right now. Plus, everyone seemed pretty happy with the caps I already posted from the livestream, so...I think these others can wait.

:: Extra VanCon 2012 & Location Hunt Photos → Need to get these posted over the next week or so.

:: Name That Cap Challenge 4 → Still going strong. It will be on hiatus for VanCon though.

:: spn_locations & the Locations List → Being worked on nearly every evening at least. Sadly, I began the update far too late and my time is further being cut down by RL issues. I'm making shortcuts (no Google Street Views for S8 - sorry) and the list won't be what I want it to be....but it will be useable, I promise. Made a cool discovery tonight that will come in handy for those of you who use Google Maps for your location hunting. ;)

And of course there's lots of other stuff: fixing more caps for the Just 'Cause posts, making more fanarts, choosing what I need to print for autographs at VanCon, and I'm sure I'm forgetting things.

With summer hiatus beginning we plan on having some fun activities to keep everyone occupied. Plus, the more members we have, the more fanfic and fanart there will be. Come and share your talents! :D


RULES ~ WATCH ~ JOIN

Good grief! It's been nearly a year since I've done a Quickies post???

♦ Feel like I pretty much wasted this entire week/weekend. Didn't exercise, didn't do any crafting stuff like I'd planned. Just puttered away online. Bleh. :(

♦ Anyone gonna watch the Oscars? I used to watch them every year, but now I simply can't make time for it. Besides, it's not like I keep up with the current movie scene anymore.

♦ Still terribly behind in watching my TV series. Still have all of H5O, Arrow, & Chicago Fire, half of Fringe, TVD, Parenthood...and I can't remember the rest. Oy. :P

♦ Been working on fanarts from my VanCon 2011 pics and while my photos from that year totally suck, it's at least nice to look at the boys for hours on end and I'm really enjoying myself. Got the Sunday Breakfast pics done and today I'll see if I can start in on the panel ones. I'll begin posting them (in the Daily Fanart posts) starting tomorrow (Monday).

♦ I'm trying to get back to work the SPN Revealed posts. Need to get the caps for 2x12 "Nightshifter" next before I can finish prepping the caps from "Playthings". I am going to make myself work on this project today. I keep putting it off. Darned procrastination.

♦ Haven't capped an episode in weeks. That whole MediaFire fiasco really took the wind out of my capping sails. :( But I'm recovering from that and moving on, so I hope to resume capping episodes this week. Meanwhile, I've still got the bluray caps from 5x03 to sort/delete...and I over-capped it, so that process is gonna suck. Big time. Bleh. I'll do it. Just need to push myself.

♦ Still need to make some new icons to use on my journal. This batch is so old. Where to find the time though? *sigh*
Which reminds me, I still need to post a bunch of icons here...

♦ Got a fun idea planned for unveiling on positively_spn tomorrow that I hope people will enjoy. :)

♦ Think I'll also resume some theme weeks for the Just 'Cause posts starting tomorrow, since I've got some new ones ready to go.

After some LJ/SPN drama a few weeks ago, judithyaffa and I were talking about the kind of Supernatural LJ community we'd love to join -- a special place full of:

* Respect for the show and fandom we love
* Understanding that Supernatural is not about one character alone, but about the whole family experience
* Freedom of expression tempered by reasoned discussion, not hatred or negativity

Problem is, we couldn't find this SPN Nirvana. So being the crazy intrepid people we are, we created one. A somewhat moderated, invitation-only community of like-minded people who believe family is what's important.

Many of you know about my comm spn_ontheset, but I created another one about my love of movies, especially older ones. It's never been a very big comm and with all that has happened in my RL over the past few months it got shoved into the background and kind of neglected. *pets little movie comm*

Well today I'm resurrecting atickettodream!

If you love old movies and watching videos of them, this is the place to go.

And I'm not going to be shy about asking for help here. Please the pass word along about this comm. I need more people watching/joining the comm. So tell your friends and urge them to tell their friends.

Yep, I'm at it again, for better or worse...I've created another LJ community. :P

This one is about films, movies, motion pictures, the flickers - and everything else related to them from the actors to the crew. Most of the posts will be in the form of videos I've found on youtube (of which there are many), but once in a while I'll post some pictures, audio files, and tidbits of info./trivia as well.

Most of my attention will be on older films from Hollywood's Golden Age, but I'll occasionally branch out and explore newer movies, too. Some weeks will be devoted solely to one film.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! :(

Sorry there wasn't any Daily Fanart, Just 'Cause here at my journal, or Daily On The Set post over at spn_ontheset for today. I was gone all day yesterday and didn't get home until after 3 a.m. this morning and didn't feel like getting online so late. Then today I was busy with other RL errands and haven't really had a chance to catch up with all things online until now.

If you still want me to make those posts for today, I will, but otherwise, I'm thinking of just skipping them until tomorrow since it's already after 6 p.m. (my time).

Sorry, I also haven't gotten back to those of you who are looking to take over running the spn_favorites. It's been a busy week (and weekend) and really, things don't look to slow down until after Monday next week. *sigh* I'll try to get back to you all soon though, as it looks like there's enough of you now to maintain the comm.

In other news...I was going back through my flist and got this scary message when I tried to load the "skip=60":



Something about a site called silverechoes.com being known to spread malware and all that.

I have a clean system and I really don't wanna risk it getting infected with anything. I don't know who may have posted something from this site or whatever, but maybe if you could please stop posting content from there, I'd really appreciate it. Because of this, I couldn't view a bunch of my flist's posts from today, so if I missed something important let me know, okay?

On a brighter note...THANK YOU to wynefred & justine_andrews for the beautiful tulips that arrived on my doorstep today! They're lovely! *tacklehugs you both* :D

Edit: I'd also like to apologize to pan_san for your late birthday post. I've got your icon made, was going to post it the other night but when I tried to upload it to Scrapbook it wouldn't go! Gah!!!! And then of course, I wasn't home, so I couldn't post it and I'm so sorry it's late. I'll get it posted tonight for you, hun. Hope your birthday was a good one! *hugs*

I'm shutting down my LJ comm spn_favorites sometime Friday, so if there's anything that was posted there that you'd like to check out, save, or whatever....better get it done.

It was a nice idea, but it simply didn't take off. :(

This will leave spn_ontheset as my one surviving LJ community. Happily, it's doing very well. Come by and check it out if you haven't already. :)

So sorry for being late with today's Just 'Cause post (along w/posting a pic over at my comm, spn_ontheset). Got home late last night & was exhausted with a killer headache. You know I feel bad when I won't even bother getting online. Flist, you know what I've been dealing with. This week has been so draining and it's not over yet. Today is actually one of the few quiet days. *sigh*

Anyway, the headache's gone (thankfully), but my back and legs are all achey. Owie. But I'm here online, and it's time to get caught up. I'll get today's regular posts done and I'd like to get the final 2 posts of the Paley video caps up as well. I'm tired of it being dragged out and since I never know when I'm going to be online next, I think this is for the best.

I've also updated SPN Season 6 Titles & Filming Dates with the title change to 6x21 and the title to 6x22. Tried my best to adjust the filming dates for the last few episodes, knowing they said at Paley that they were going to start filming the season finale on March 16th. The dates I've got now seem to work, but of course, they're still my best guess based on what little I learn from Twitter & elsewhere. I do know they're set to finish filming on March 31st, but I'm guessing the last 2 days will be for pickups, etc. ('cause I've got them finishing 6x22 on the 29th).

One more thing, since this post is turning into a mish-mash of things...I've been organizing my SPN official photos and can't figure out where to put these 2 images as far as seasons go. Does anyone know which seasons these are from? Does anyone know which episode the 2nd pic is from? I'm thinking maybe "Dream A Little Dream Of Me", but I'm not sure.
