A little update from my last post back in October.

Monday

Dancing With The Stars
-- It had a rocky start, but I'm pulling for either JR & Karina or Ricki & Derek to win.
Castle
-- Still lovin' the show. Sometimes I get irritated that they're not moving the Beckett/Castle romance along, but I'm trying to be patient.
Hawaii Five-O
-- Fun seeing Terry O'Quinn added to the cast as an occasional guest star. Meanwhile the bromance of Steve & Danno is turning epic! lol Their banter is perfection!
Terra Nova
-- It's still managing to hold my attention. I must admit, Terrance O'Mara is a big reason I keep watching.

Tuesday

New Girl
-- I'm still watching this, but half the time I'm wondering why. LOL I guess there's something about the quirky, crazy comedy that keeps bringing me back. Oh, and I do love how the guys are so protective of Jess even though they think she's kinda weird. :P
Parenthood
-- One of my favorite shows every single week. I go through so many emotions is just one hour of this show, usually ending with me in tears. The Bravermans own me heart and soul.

Wednesday

Survivor
-- I hope Ozzy doesn't screw things up. I'd like to see him win this one. Pulling for Dawn, too. She's a good gal.

Thursday

The Vampire Diaries
-- All the twists & turns this show takes keeps me coming back week after week and I love the characters!
The Secret Circle
-- I tried. I really did, but I've dropped this show. I got sick of the girls screaming over every little big bad they ran into and the dialog just left me feeling flat. It got so bad that I started to fall asleep. Always a bad sign.
Person Of Interest
-- So I'm trying to get into this show to fill the hole left by TSC. So far...meh. The first episode I watched wasn't too bad, but the last one? Ugh. It's like watching two robots run around. There's no moments of lightness or even a cracked smile. Not sure I'll be able to keep with this show.
Prime Suspect
-- Has been canceled by NBC. Boo! I've really been enjoying this gritty cop drama. I like Jane. She's one tough cookie, trying to prove herself amongst a squad full of males. I will miss this show. *sigh*

Friday

Supernatural
-- Do I even have to say I'm loving this season? I love them all. *g*
Fringe
-- Haven't even watched any of this season yet. *hides in shame*

Sunday

The Amazing Race
-- Of the teams that are left I'm really pulling for Andy & Tommy (these dude always have fun) and Bill & Cathi (yay for the older married couple!).

Thought I'd go through the list of TV shows I'm currently watching this season. :)

My TV viewing schedule... )

raloria: (Default)
We did it again!!! SPN won for Favorite Sci-Fi Series, Jensen won for Favorite Actor (yay!!!!), and Castiel (Misha) won for Favorite Non-Human! Whoo-hoo!!!! \0/

I'm happy Castle & Dancing With The Stars won as well! And I must admit, even though I haven't watched lately, I'm glad The Big Bang Theory won for Favorite Comedy. Well-deserved wins...all of them! But YAY! for our boys!!!!! :D

Btw, I've already made caps! ;)

Here's video of just the SPN parts (though the sign-offs at the end are missing, bummer!). Video by crystalliness.

Been a while since I checked in about the series I'm watching. ;)

The latest rundown... )

Quickies 15

:: US vs. Canada...again & again What is with the Universal Sports channel showing the US vs. Canada Gold Medal Hockey game every day? Talk about rubbing salt in the wound. Canada won. We know. We're happy for them. Let's move on, okay?

:: DWTS *facepalms* Also on the TV front....WTH Dancing With The Stars??? This has got to be the worst guest lineup ever in the show's history. You've got Kate Gosselin (ugh. Your 15 min. of fame is over. Go away!), Pamela Anderson, & a bunch of people I've never heard of including a pro football player (why is it always football, anyway? can't they choose athletes from some other sports for once?). The only ones I recognize (outside of the two already mentioned) is Buzz Aldrin (which, okay, kinda cool), Shannen Doherty, and Evan Lysacek. Oh, and there's The Bachelor himself, Jake Pavelka. Seriously ABC? I don't watch that awful show to begin with and then you've gotta stick him on the show I usually do watch? IMO the lineup basically sucks. The only bright spot being Evan Lysacek. They might as well give him the trophy now, 'cause I can't imagine him not winning this thing. One, he's a figure skater and they always do well on DWTS, and two, he's got an incredible work ethic. The guy's a workaholic. He's going to do just fine at learning the dances.

Yeah...dunno if I'll be watching this season to be honest. I'm disgusted.

:: Cool Slacker changes Slacker Radio has made a few more changes. I approve. The onscreen ads are getting a little more aggressive, but since I usually just have the tab open while I surf elsewhere it's not like I see them that often.

:: Post Olympics TV Viewing Still behind on my TV watching from the Olympics. Have the following shows to catch up on: Survivor, Lost, The Amazing Race, The Forgotten, & Legend Of The Seeker. I'm pretty thankful now that the rest of my shows have been on hiatus. Oh, and I still need to get back to watching downloads of Leverage. I'm up to episode 10 of season 1 though. ;)

:: Movie Watching Have the original film of "The Italian Job" checked out from the library that I need to watch. I seem to recall hearing or reading Jared saying one time that he and Jensen watched that film in his trailer a couple of years ago. Yep, that's pretty much the sole reason why I checked it out. *g*

:: Fanart Update Made some fanart pieces last night and I'm looking forward to doing more. Goodness knows there's a ton of SPN promo pics and episode stills to work from. ;) Oh, and thanks to those who answered my banner question last night. Not sure I really got a clear answer, but...okay.

:: Upcoming Posts Really looking forward to posting my next set of Jensen icons tomorrow 'cause....damn they look good, if I do say so myself. *glee* This weekend I'll resume work on that other Jensen Tribute post that I didn't get done for his birthday.

Ok, I think that's it for now. Gonna try to get to some comments today, too. I return you now to your previous LJ activities.

raloria: (Default)
I'm trying not to totally give up on these posts. Really. It's simply that I'm so busy with SPN all the time, it's a little tough to devote any time to the other series I watch.

So here's a little overview of what I'm watching & thoughts about them right now.

The 14 shows I watch... )

raloria: (Default)
I know these posts are kind of few and far between now, but I hope you still like reading them anyway.

Dancing With The Stars:
I'm still sad Kelly outlasted Joanna. As much as I like Kelly, I think Joanna was the better dancer. I'm thrilled that Donny won!!!! The final went just as I thought/hoped it would. I'd like to think my votes really helped this time. It was great to have my favorite win for once. :D I'm going to miss having DWTS on Mondays & Tuesdays, but I hear it's coming back in March. Yay!

V:
Four episodes and not a new one until March. Phooey! Can't say the show has really captured my attention so far, even though I watched all 4 episodes. Not sure I'll still care come March. The last episode was kind of disappointing. The way ABC hyped it up, there was going to be this big reveal/climax and all it showed was an armada of other V ships headed towards Earth. Big whoop. I was expecting something much more shocking and instead we were left with a flat ending. :/

The Amazing Race:
I was rooting for the Globetrotters, but guys....what a stupid decision to make! Why would you take a 4 hour penalty instead of doing the task????? It cost them going into the final. *sigh* I wish Flight Time had done the Roadblock instead of Big Easy. It really wasn't all that hard to decipher the word/name Franz. Sheesh. Poor decisions all the way around. Sam & Dan were screeching at each other practically the whole time this leg. I'm so sick of them. I really hope they don't win. Brian & Ericka are okay, but I'm really pulling for Meghan & Cheyne now. They work fairly well together, except when he gets flustered or gives up completely and she has to get after him. They've won the last several legs, so barring something major, here's hoping they come to the finish line next week first!

raloria: (Default)
I can see now where I'm incapable of making these posts every day or even every week. Let's just say I'll post when I can or when I have something to say about the shows I've watched.

Thoughts on LOTS, TAR, & DWTS... )

raloria: (Default)
A new show added into the mix with the premiere of V tonight means a full night of ABC network watching for me.

Tonight's V, Dancing With The Stars Results Show, & The Forgotten... )

raloria: (Default)
Normally, there'd be 3 shows to cover tonight, but Lie To Me is off this week due to the World Series. Bummer. *misses show*

Tonight on Dancing With The Stars & Castle... )

raloria: (Default)
I'm all messed up. Working on organizing our massive DVD collection all Monday does that to me I guess. Then I watched my normal Monday night programs, Dancing With The Stars and the new series Castle. I'm now signed up to vote for DWTS after all these seasons of being just a passive viewer. I have no absolute favorite so far, it's too early. Meanwhile, I liked this episode of Castle even more than the Pilot, though I'm starting to feel as I saw mentioned somewhere that Susan Sullivan's character of his mother seems out of place and unneeded. The daughter's fine, but the mom has to go, I think.

[livejournal.com profile] stolenglimpse and I worked together to try and figure out the mystery and confusion surrounding screencaps, aspect ratios, and resolutions. It took some time, but I think we each found answers for our own individual cap problems. Now that's some awesome teamwork! *high fives* \0/ Long story short? I can see now that the resolution for all of my DA caps is off. Yikes. Fixing them isn't a huge deal, but re-posting the new ones is. This is now on my long-term To-Do list. Ugh. :(

Took my walk after 3 days of not walking, but got home & then forgot to post about it. Ooops. So I guess this is my post....after a fashion. Anyway, the weather cleared up long enough for me to take my walk and while it was still cold and a bit blustery, it wasn't too bad. I sure did feel tired once I came home though. I guess missing 3 days had a big effect!

Oh, and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] growyourwings's encouragement I added Jim Beaver as a friend on Facebook! And he added me back Monday afternoon! Woot! I went ahead and then added a few of my filmmmaking contacts in the area. I also started looking for other friends, past classmates, filmmaking buddies, etc. One friend led to another friend and so on. I only added a couple of people, but one of them already added me back. I even ended up on MySpace and toyed with joining up there, but I'm not quite ready yet, so I held back on that for now.

Man...I'm so tired right now. I didn't get back to replying to comments *iz bad LJ friend* and now it's time to scramble and get my icon & cap posts up before I rush off to bed. I hope the rest of my Tuesday is a little more...normal?

PCA *yawn*

If you haven't heard the news yet, SPN lost to Heroes at the People's Choice Awards. Bleh.

SPN didn't even get mentioned as a nominee because that category was among a bunch where they only briefly showed the winners. Double Bleh.

What did they even need an awards show for anyway? The way the show is run all you need to do is look to see what stars are seated in the audience in order to know who's going to win. Oh, look....it's Kate Hudson....oh, how surprising that she won. Oh, and there's the cast of House....oh, gee...they won, too. In fact, when House won for Favorite TV Drama it looked like most of the show's cast and crew went up on the stage to accept the award. Overkill? Much?

There was no suspense...except for the 2 New TV Show awards (for Drama & Comedy) because the votes for those were still open as the show was on. Triple Bleh for Fringe losing. :(

Hardly any of the nominees I voted for won, except for Dancing With The Stars & Christina Applegate, I was glad to see them win. But what a bore. I remember when this awards show was more fun. Granted, it's no Golden Globes or Oscars, but the PCAs used to be better than this.

*sigh* I hope JDM's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel can lift my spirits some.

raloria: (Default)
I'm kinda/sorta bored. Is that possible? Whatever. I realized I've got all these little things to mention or talk about and because I'm lazy...you get them all in one post. :P

But first...it's a random post which means...*drumroll*....you get a cap! I really didn't know what to chose this time, so I went with easy. Both of the boys from the S1 DVD "Day in the Life" extra.

Ramblings ensue....including a song download & a dream about Dean.... )

Why is it when I somehow have a good Sunday, I then end up having a rotten Monday. *grumbles* :(

I don't know how, but I'm actually more sleepy/groggy now than when I went to sleep this morning. Ugh. I feel all draggy and sleepy and....meh. Awful. Maybe I'll feel better once I eat. *glances at chicken wrap*

I got defriended again. What's with all the defriending lately? It stings, as always. And I'm not going to bother to Flock this 'cause she'll either see it or she won't. I don't know what I did or whatever, but I am sorry you decided to cut off our friendship. You were my screencapping mentor and I'm sorry you've continued to cut yourself off from the fandom that you once enjoyed. Per my new defriending policy, I will defriend you back, but with a sad heart. I wish you well.

Bit about my throat that might be TMI for some... )

I'm going to eat, maybe comment to some of my Flist, and then get back to my SPN Revealed posts. Want to get those done today. At least Dancing With The Stars is on tonight. That always makes me feel better. And it looks beautiful outside today...all sunshine and pretty clouds against the blue sky....but it's still kind of chilly (47 degrees F). Oh, well. At least it's pretty to look at. Hope all of you are having a better Monday. *hugs*

raloria: (Default)
After only 3 hours sleep it's back to LJ again. I'm sure I'll feel the lack of sleep later...but hopefully not through Dancing With The Stars tonight.

So nice to turn on the laptop and see a bunch of comments to my SPN Revealed posts. It's a minor miracle I even got those done in time this morning. It took me almost 9 hours to complete both of the episodes. Because I only had a handful of the caps made and ready to go, that meant I had to spend a lot of time fixing the rest of them and then typing up the posts, etc. I'm gonna try not to do that again. I need to get caught up with making and fixing the caps for these things.

I'm still terribly behind in my replies and some other LJ upkeep, so I'm going to concentrate on those today. Big "Hello!" to the new people on my Flist thanks to the Friending Meme over at [livejournal.com profile] dean_sam! Another "Hello!" to those of you who've recently friended me for other reasons. *waves* Happy you found your way here and enjoy all the SPN/Jensen goodies. :) I'm not the greatest LJ friend in the world. It's hard for me to always comment on others Livejournals because I'm always posting or prepping for posts, but I try my best. Just know that I do read just about everything on my Flist (time permitting) and I always read all my comments even if it takes me a while to reply back.

Have a good day, everyone. *hugs flist* Only 3 days until this week's airing of "Mystery Spot" and only 10 days until the new eppy!!! :)

raloria: (Default)
So I decided to do some fun stuff. Ended up doing a bunch of those quizzes over at BuddyTV. It started with one and then I just kept going through the list. :P

I had to do this one twice. Would you believe I got John the first time? Ugh. Ick. No way am I like John! So I took it again and changed a few answers and got...ta-da!

Much better! :D

More of the quizzes behind the cut.... )

raloria: (Default)
Nothing big here, just my little to-do list for the day....sort of. ;)

+ Looked through Flist and will be commenting on a few of them shortly.

+ Wash dishes. Ugh

+ Get caught up with some replies new & old. So if you get some old replies back from me today, you know what's going on. Gotta get these taken care of!!!!

+ Watch Dancing With The Stars at 8:00 Edit: 9:00....ooops. Last night's show was awesome! The guys did pretty well. Especially that actor from Ugly Betty....*guh*....gorgeous arms! Would seriously give Jensen a run for his money in that department. A couple of the other guys did well, too. Tonight...it's the ladies! Should be fun! :)

Edit: Why does my Yahoo! Email keep telling me there's an unread message in my inbox when there isn't one (at least that I can find)? Grrrrr! It's annoying the hell out of me.

Have a good day everyone! *hugs flist*

raloria: (Default)
That's "Trick or treat?" in Latin! Heehee! :D

A new week, Halloween upon us, and it's time to update with the latest yet again.

Of course, we can't have a proper status report/random rambling post without a lovely cap of Dean, now can we? I chose one of my caps from Bad Day At Black Rock this time around. Enjoy!

All the latest ramblings this way... )

Another random ramble. Warning: This was done with a fuzzy, sleepy brain (always dangerous...*sigh* When will I learn?).

* The quiz I took yesterday in my Philosophy class was tough! Much more difficult than I anticipated. I really didn't get to study for it because I spent all my time preparing for the online one I took Sunday night. *Sigh* It's not right to have 2 quizzes so close to each other like that when I'm terribly behind in the reading. It was an almost impossible task from the get-go. The Philosophy stuff is tough to get anyway...and that's with a book or notes right in front of you. How am I possibly supposed to memorize all these terms and such. Bah. Anyhow, I did a lot of guessing, which even on multiple choice questions isn't a good thing. I feel I was all over the place with my answers, so I probably didn't do very well. Hopefully I'll do better next time. At least now I'm somewhat caught up in both classes.

* Bought some new jeans on Friday and wore a pair to class yesterday. They fit so much better then the old ones I've been wearing (snug instead of baggy - yay!). Gotta admit, they made me feel kinda sexy. *g*

* Some idiot behind me on the freeway last night was flashing his headlights. He was quite a ways back and I was going the speed limit. Don't know what his problem was, but he was certainly annoying the hell out me. His flickering lights were very distracting. :[

* Came home last night from the college, watched Dancing With The Stars (Carrie Ann was certainly on the warpath! And Len was Mr. Easygoing for once.), then decided to finish capping Shadow. So now it's just sort, fix, select, upload, and post. Seeing as how we're already into this week, I'd look for picspams of Shadow and Skin next week. Don't even ask me what episodes are after those, I'm almost afraid to look. They probably haven't been capped completely yet either. Eeeep!

* On another note...I actually got to some replies to your comments. Yay! Some progress! It's small, but at least it's a start.

* Couldn't help but notice how dead the fandom was over the weekend. Things seem to be picking up again now, but it was sure quiet around here. I made several posts and the response was very light. I don't have a problem with this. I understand people lead busy lives...I'm one of them.

I'm trying not to make a big deal over this, but after getting only a couple of comments to my big review of 3.01, I'm a little...upset. The basics are that I spent all week working on that review, struggling with getting the caps to look good enough. And now my brain is trying to reason out what happened. Why the weak response? Is it that people just missed it because I posted it late on Thursday? Is it because a lot of you haven't seen the episode yet and don't want to be spoiled? Did you actually read the review and didn't like the episode or my review? Please, let me know. *Sigh* I really don't want to come off bitchy here, and I can only hope that I haven't pissed anyone off. It's just to put that amount of work in and have it largely ignored really bothers me.

If this continues to be the trend towards my full reviews I guess I'll just stop doing them and stick with the shorter First Impressions posts. I like doing the full versions, but only if there's an audience for them. Otherwise, what's the point of all that work?

Sorry for the ranting... *hugs flist* I'm going to take my sleepy, frustrated self to bed now...
