Hey! I'm back! little-cutie-says-hello-smiley-emoticon
So sorry for the long silence of over 2 months. *sigh* It was NOT intentional at all.
Life, y'all. It's a crazy mess!

But I'm not going to let it stop me. Last week, I updated the look of this journal for Fall.
Very orangey, I know. LOL

And now...to hopefully get myself regularly posting here - I'm unofficially joining in on NaBloPoMo2024. I didn't fill out the form to officially join-in...I'm just doing this for all of you (and myself). Do I promise I'm going to post every day of November? I'll try, but I make no guarantees.

Feel free to join me, if you like. Check out the link below for more information.

BTW, the above image is not mine. It was on the email from iHanna: https://www.ihanna.nu/ .

In other news...I'm about to start my "usual" annual re-watch of Gilmore Girls. I normally would've started a month ago, but again...that darned "real life" getting in my way! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me in my re-watch? We wouldn't watch the episodes together (because scheduling is hard!) but we would agree to converse together (through email, messaging, whatever) about our thoughts of each episode plus post thoughts to our journals. It would be nice to watch 1 or 2 episodes per week. I'd like to start this coming Monday, Nov. 4th. Anyone up for it?

Capped this a long time ago...mostly because it took me a while to even watch the Gilmore Girls Revival. It was so sweet to see Dean and Rory have their little reunion. ♥ Long story short, these caps are not the best quality and I had to add an effect or two make them look good, but hopefully someone will still enjoy them. :)

:: Re-locating
I've had my PC on my aunt's dining room table since I moved the system over here last winter. Things were fine, but lately my internet has been horrible out here. It's almost as bad as dial-up at times. So I'm going to re-locate the whole kit-&-kaboodle over to her makeshift desk (a closet door on two short file cabinets). I already know the Clearwire receiver works better over there (helps having the patio door right there). Just gotta get all my aunt's "stuff" off the "desk". Peachy.

:: Tumblr/LJ Cut
It's a bit overdue, but I'm planning on doing a friends cut not only here on LJ, but on Tumblr as well. Entirely too much Sherlock and Teen Wolf stuff on my Tumblr Dashboard. No offense to those who watch, but they're just not my things. On the LJ side of things, there's some people who barely post anymore or who I just haven't connected with. Time to cut ties.

:: Walking/Weight Loss
Even though I've still got this cold from VanCon, I'm eager to get back to walking. The weather is still cooperating and my legs are itching to get out there other than the brief walk each day over to the house to get the mail and paper. My weight is super low, well, lower than it's been since I came back from the first VanCon in '09. :D Really want to keep it down there, despite the goodies I bought last week (maple donuts *gasps*).

:: Phone Woes
I'm soooo eager to get a new cell phone. You have no idea. I'm way overdue for a step into the 21st Century. *sigh* Didn't get one before VanCon because we were simply too busy and then ran out of time to shop for one, but now... *wants* Some days I'm so close to simply flinging this antique into the nearest wall and telling mom we're going to get a new one - NOW. Soon....I hope. *crosses fingers*

:: Gilmore Girls Marathon
Yep, it's GG time! I feel like I need to watch this show at least once a year. I go through withdrawal if I don't. Really, I do. Besides, we're almost through all our movies. *gasps* And Jared's sooooo cute! *squishes him* I just love all the characters and I wanna live in Rory & Lorelei's house. :D

Ok, I think that's it, though knowing me I'll think of something I should've added to this post as soon as I hit the Post button. :P

:: Mom & I picked up our weekly meal of Pizza Hut last night and we saw Hunky Pizza Guy! Been a while since he's been there, so I enjoyed staring & drooling looking at him. *g* He waved, said "hi"...it was good. He was all serious business though, giving orders to the workers and such. You could tell he was having a stressful day. The place was quite busy. Anyway, it was nice to see my Jensen look-alike again. :D

:: We also got our Passport Card applications and photos taken care of yesterday at the Post Office. Yay!!!! One less thing on my VanCon to-do list. Now we wait 4-6 weeks for them to arrive in the mail. Then I can really relax.

:: Finished watching Gilmore Girls on DVD. It was great seeing it all together over weeks instead of years. I can't believe I like Logan now! I hated him when the show was on. Hated! Guess he grew on me. And Jared. OMG how adorable! I never thought he was that cute either. Watching him on the show now he's all adorable, cute, and sweet! Awww. One thing hasn't changed over the years though. I still love all the characters on the show and I wanna go live in Stars Hollow. :D

Supernatural Media's Legacy site has just posted new photos of the boys. These are early pics of a failed pilot "Close To Home", "Smallville", and what looks like a couple of pics from "Gilmore Girls" to me.

A couple of the Jensen pics, look like ones we've seen before, but the ones of Jared are all new to me. There's also a new header at the site of young Jared.

Remember, these are just hints of the full-sized beauties the site will release later on. :)

Full-sized teaser pics behind the cut... )

Studying for this final is boooooooring! I keep falling asleep. So I did some fun stuff to wake myself up.

But first, this little bit of humor I thought up a bit ago, 'cause I really hate having to take a philosophy class in the first place. You all know those famous quotes from the classic Star Trek? The ones Bones was always making to Kirk (Dammit, Jim! I'm a doctor, not a...). Well, I made up one of my own.

"Dammit, Jim! I'm a filmmaker, not a philosopher!"

Well, I think it's funny. Heh. :P

Okay, on to the memes! I needed something to break up my studying a bit. :)

Two fun meme's this way... )

I think it's time for another status report....

First of all, welcome to my new friends [livejournal.com profile] amizada, [livejournal.com profile] degrassirox111, [livejournal.com profile] holdmesam, [livejournal.com profile] crazywoman22, [livejournal.com profile] purplephoenix03, [livejournal.com profile] picksthemusic, and [livejournal.com profile] country_bee to my LJ. I hope you enjoy the picspams and other goodies! I look forward to getting to know you. :)

* The review of All Hell Breaks Loose, Part Two is coming along, just not as fast as I would like. I initially made over 200 caps! Eeep! Luckily, I sorted through them and brought the final number to 132. Not the under-hundred that I promised, but there was just too many wonderful images to resist. I also have the mp3's recorded and ready to be uploaded. I'm working on the actual review itself right now. Hope you have your tissues ready, 'cause reliving the eppy with my review is almost going to be like watching it all over again. :)

* This weekend it did a lot of raining around here in Western WA. Yeah, yeah, what else is new you're probably thinking. Well, yes, we do get a lot of rain here, but usually by this time of year we're enjoying nice, warm, spring weather. Anyway, I thought I'd share some photos I took on Thursday afternoon, which was a beautiful sunny spring day. They're of the gigantic rhododendron in front of my house. I think it must be the largest one in the whole neighborhood. It's this massive....tree. But it's still beautiful and you should've seen and heard all the bumblebees buzzing all over it!

Just click on 'em to see the larger versions!

* I finally watched the series finale of Gilmore Girls on Friday night. *sniffle* That makes two TV shows in two days that made me cry. It ended very nicely, with Luke and Lorelei rebuilding their love and Rory off on her way to be a reporter on the presidential campaign trail. There were lots of warm, fuzzy moments and all the goodbyes that you could want were there. It ended perfectly with Rory and Lorelei enjoying their coffee in Luke's diner as the camera pulled back through the window - just like in the pilot! *Sigh* I'm sorry to see another great show end, but it's time has come and besides, I still have the DVDs.

* I've changed to a new mood theme. This one is of Dean Winchester by [livejournal.com profile] toxxxicgurl. I'm planning on making a SPN mix of her Dean & Sam mood themes and uploading that soon. Speaking of LJ...I wish I had more icons. At first, I thought 15 would be plenty, but in making all my caps I keep getting ideas for icons, yet I hate to get rid of most of the ones I'm using. Guess I'll have to decide whether I want to make the leap and pay for an account. Just out of curiosity...how many of you have paid accounts? Did you find upgrading to a paid account worth it? Why did you choose to upgrade?

* Oh, and I'm going to get back to your comments with my replies as soon as I post my review. *Sigh* I just got caught up and now I'm behind again, but I promise I'll get back to you guys as soon as I can.

Well, back to work on my review...

Last month 2 friends took me to my first Chinese restaurant (yes, it's true, I've never had Chinese before) - a buffet actually. Naturally, we each grabbed a fortune cookie on our way out. My cookie happened to have 2 different fortunes inside:

"You will have gold pieces by the bushel."

"You may lose the small ones but win the big ones."

I'm still waiting for that gold to show up... :)

It's the beginning of a new week, so it feels right to post a little status report....

This way to the ramble about Gilmore Girls, Lost, SPN, and lots more.... )

It's snowing!!! It snowed some early this morning and now this evening we're getting some more of the white stuff. I wonder if I'll be able to go to class tomorrow? :p I really don't like driving in the snow, so if we get too much, I won't be going. Gee...I'll miss a quiz too.

Meanwhile, I've got a few more screencaps to share. These are just 4 caps I took the other evening when I felt like watching the "A Day In The Life" featurette again. I don't know how many times I've watched it, but it never gets old or boring to me. There's just so much to love...Jensen and his knives, Jensen shaving, Jared and his candy, gummy wars in the makeup trailer, Jensen playing director on the cabin set, the crew pelting the boys with snowballs...it's all great stuff. I'd love to see more footage like this on the next DVD set.

And to show how much of a total SPN geek I am...I have covered my computer monitor with photos of Jared & Jensen! Just some double-stick tape, some printed out photos, and this is the result...

And on a completely other topic...I finally got caught up with Gilmore Girls after taping it for the past couple of weeks. So Chris and Lorelei got married in Paris. It was a very romantic episode and I do like them together as a couple, but then I liked Lorelei and Luke, too. Meanwhile, Rory was leaving as editor of the newspaper and feeling a little lost with graduation fast approaching. Oh, and Dean was mentioned in this episode. Dean as in Rory's first boyfriend played by a certain Jared Padalecki. Rory and her new girlfriends were looking through Rory's old photo albums or yearbooks or something. I just thought it was cool that they mentioned his name. Then Chris and Lorelei came home and told Rory about their marriage...she was less than thrilled - she was upset over having missed the big event. But Logan's home and that makes her feel better, but then she writes a scathing article about Logan & his business partners's big launch party and an argument ensues. In the end they make up, of course. I must say, it annoys me when Logan keeps calling Rory "Ace". I know it's supposed to be a cute nickname and all, but come on! You're in love with this girl and that's what you choose to call her? And he called her "Ace" a lot in the last episode - made me cringe every time. Oh, and Lane is having twins! Luke and his daughter are bonding nicely. I loved the whole discussion about the boy-girl party she was getting ready to go to and him getting worried about kissing. She totally freaks out and then he freaks out. Later he refers to kissing as juggling, which was really hilarious. But poor April gets sick and winds up in the emergency room with appendicitis. And Luke calls Lorelei because he doesn't know what to do! That last episode was really something. They went from everyone's lives being all upset and turned upside down and then by the end, everything seemed so much better. I still like this show a lot. Is it as good as it was before? No, but it's not horrible either. Just not quite up to standards and laughs it had in the past.

Man, look at me go! I'll blame all my rambling on the snow. :p

I'm just going to use this post to catch up on certain topics that I've felt like talking about for some time now. And for once they don't all revolve around Supernatural. Shocking, I know.
